If you want to watch the PR... He was pissed, controlled but absolutely pissed.
"We didn't play our best, we have to play our best to win.. .we didn't"
"We are not going to change our culture, we will see who buys in"
"We were not a good football team today"
"This is on me!"

I agree on all point. let's see if he can fix it
Posted on 10/28/18 at 8:42 am to oklahogjr
One big part of the fix will be the first day after the last game when these worthless seniors and some of the players no longer see the field. The other part will the be the days when/if Kelly Bryant announces he's a hog and when the '19 class arrives on campus.

Yeah this year sucked but if he keeps this class together, that will be a huge step in the right direction.

Reading between the lines here...Seems as though Chad is starting to get a little frustrated of guys not doing their job. On the offensive side and defensive side.
You can lead a cow to water all you want but you can't make it drink if it doesn't want to.
This may take more time than I anticipated. Storey still hasn't gotten it. He will stare down a WR or TE all day long. Watching him yesterday I am guessing the staff has tried to simplify the office and have him focus on one half of the field. We all give our WR's and TE's shite for not getting open, but there are open WR's on plays when Storey forces into double coverage or holds the ball too long. He just can't progress quick enough to find them. Multiple times yesterday he had guys coming underneath wide open in space and he didn't see them. He had a RB in the flat multiple times with no defender around and he didn't check down.
I know Storey is loved because he is from Arkansas, but the boost this program needs is Kelly Bryant transferring in. Just a RM did for Petrino.
On defense we have starting LB's that commit to shooting a gap entirely too soon which leaves open lanes for the RB. Scoota did this many times yesterday. You CANNOT take yourself out of a play on your own. We have one solid safety in Curl and a liability in Ramirez.
Everyone bags on the defensive coaching, but this is the same exact defense that was putrid a year ago. It is the same players. Coaches are coaches, they're not fairies with magic sprinkle dust.
A complete roster turnover is needed. The seniors need to go and they guys who don't want to play for Morris need to transfer. We need to pull a Tennessee and sign 35 guys this class.

Not really. The defense has quit. Some of the Bret holdovers have packed it in.

How is he earning every penny if he has taken a historically bad defense and made no improvements? That make no sense at all to me. If they were historically bad, there was plenty of room for the best DC in the country to have made it better.

We were 115th in the nation in total defense last year. That's 15 away from dead last. We're 82nd so far this year.
Feels like I've spent the entire season reminding people that these players aren't good, as if they didn't already show us that for an entire season before this. Coaching only goes so far when the players suck or have shite attitudes. The fact that Santos Ramirez is still playing speaks volumes about the lack of bodies on that side of the ball. So yeah, I'm happy Chavis could actually give this group of guys a pulse for half the year before they started to go back to being quitters like Bert taught them. This insane class, on the defensive side especially, will come in and we'll start seeing huge strides. There's way too much complaining going on about the product on the field for it to be year 1. Football isn't basketball.

Going for a 60 yd. fg instead of taking some shots downfield.
Slap in the face to Limpert.
That's coaching Bro.
There will be more CCM WTF moments in the coming years..
By all means keep your head buried in the sand to a coach, "learning on the job"

I’m not complaining. I still have hope that Morris will get us back to competing. That doesn’t mean that I don’t see some things that he should be doing, or should have done better.
I hope I’m proven wrong about Chavis, but I don’t think he can cut it on D. I think Morris may get us there with a few years to right the ship.

totally agree. I hope Morris turns into a mean motherfricker, because the howdy doody shite really worried me. I hope he's pissed for the next 20 years.

Umm.. the 55 yarder he kicked would have been good at 65. Limpert just missed on that kick. For the most part the kid is nails.
In fact he is the most accurate kicker as of right now in arkansas history.

@ 60 yds.?

He would have made it, had the second kick been kicked the first time. Last time i checked he is at like 88.7% which is higher than hocker.

you're retarded, friend.

Not a slap in the face to Limpert. He had a legitimate shot at making it.
Would have been a huge morale boost to the team at that time. We needed something positive to happen.
