There are plenty of old stadiums out there that have been brought up to modern standards.

Nope. They routinely run out of water at Fenway Park. The bathrooms back up sewage into the concourses at Wrigley. It just adds to the charm of the place!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again — the college football world will stop treating us like a small time program the minute we stop acting like a small time program.

Yeah, the athletic department doesn't take itself seriously. Why should the fans?

There is zero justification for this nonsense. We are servicing Central Arkansas egos. We ARE small-time.

They stopped taking it seriously years ago. I don't know when but the Gus flirtation and the Chad hire was enough proof that Arkansas quit trying in football.

That ruined the reputation of the football program and it became so bad that no head coach really wanted the job, making Arkansas Vandy of the West but without the academics.

Too many egos and plenty of stupid people in charge.

Time rip up the WMS contract and Arlington contract. Let’s play games at home.

That won't be easy as the powers in Little Rock will still want some games to be played in WMS.

They never liked it when Frank began moving some games in Fayetteville after the stadium expansion.

Losing games in Little Rock means losing power and control which they enjoyed for so many decades.

Now with growth in NWA, the power balance is tipping to them.

Little Rock isn't used to that and have been jealous for years.

I think it will happen eventually. I think the people that donate to the politicians holding it hostage will eventually give up as the stadium falls into deeper into ruin. The reason we schedule FCS opponents is to give it a slow death.

I don't think the current AD is responsible for the contract they are operating under. In fact there is an argument to be made by putting such a shitty game there, hottest game of the year, moving up the time, getting low attendance #s, etc, that the AD is trying to lay groundwork for cancelling the contract

Exactly it’s not the current athletic department anymore.

I thought the atmosphere at WMS was supposed to be unequaled? Why did every shot of the crowd look like a high school state championship crowd?

Fun fact: this year was the closest central Arkansas has came to meet the attendance requirement in the contract which is 47000.

The lowest attendance under the contract was Mizzou 2019.

The reason why sec games aren't played in wms is the sec will no longer allowed them to be played there.

Buc-ee's would never invest in that shithole location as long as the local government allows crime to occur unchecked.

As long as Little Rock elects 'leaders' who shouldn't be allowed to manage a small-town McDonalds the residents will continue to reap the 'rewards'.
