Who are the ones specifically holding this up? I haven't read into it.

Last election it was Asa Hutchinson. He is strongly opposed to medical marijuana. The Arkansas Chamber of Commerce always rallies against it too. Boozman came out strong against it as well

I can't imagine many state senators would enjoy going back to their districts and explaining a vote for legal weed at their local church or Rotary club meetings. That's the main obstacle in the state

It's just plain stupid for it to be criminalized in the first place. Causes more problems that way than if it was legal. Crowds the jails, prisons, legal systems. Creates a sometimes violent black market. The only way marijuana ruins lives is because of the 'criminal' aspect of it. It's a WEED for goodness sakes.

Now, if you want to make doing stupid things like driving when you are too impaired and shouldn't be a ticketable offense, that's understandable.

I literally have more tickets than I do times pulled over thanks to getting popped 2 for 1 with expired tags and speeding. I've literally never received a warning and I've done pretty much everything short of suck a cop's dick. It's my go-to story when people start bitching about white privilege. Whatever that is, I've yet to experience it.

It took me over 20 years to get my first ticket about 4 years ago. I had been pulled over so many times and given warnings. Hell, I got a warning when I was 16 for doing 75 in a 35 in Mountain Home. Of course, in full disclosure, he pulled me out through the window and threw me against the trunk. He knew my dad.

I got popped by the state police by the Prothro exit 4 years ago. I was doing 78 in a 60. They made me go to traffic court, because they were going to broadcast it, even though less than 20 over I should have been able to just pay the ticket without going to court. Judge offered let me do driving school and pay court costs, but then he added in 2 days community service. I turned that shite down and paid the fine, court costs, and the higher insurance (even though I never really noticed my rate go up.

I embrace my privilege, use it everyday.

Feel sorry for the 70% of white folks that never get to experience it.

You were able to speed on I-40 east of US 67/US 167?!?!

I'll give you a pass for speeding. It's like watching Halley's comet- you may or may not care, but it's so rare any red blooded American should take advantage
