Off topic question though. The two leads are black actors. Don't care as long as they're good, which Ali is, but wouldn't it have been better to have Ali as a state investigator from LR or something and have a white older NWA local who knows all the "old crazy hillbilly" macabre ways. And the lay of the land before the NWA boom in the last 20 yrs.
I just don't know how a young, good looking mixed British female actress can bring the same mystic-like magic to season 3 as it had in season 1.
Hell they should've cast Billy Bob as the other cop, had him put on a little weight and turn up the accent.... Just don't get it.

I don't care as long as the story is good/acting is good like Season 1. I didn't hate Season 2 as much as everyone else but Season 1 was one of the best series I have ever seen if not the best.

Guessing race probably plays a part in the storyline. Also no one outside of Arkansas knows NWA is predominately white, they assume, like all southern states, there’s a large black population.
Also Ali is currently one of the hottest actors in Hollywood (just won an Oscar ffs), i think it’s awesome he’s playing this role.

That's what happens when you put Woody Harrelson on screen. Dude is fricking awesome. That other guy (Wooderson) was pretty good too.

You know that gif of Zack Galafinackis from The Hangover where he's standing in a casino and all the equations are running through his head?
I think of Bielema every time I see that. That's him to a tee. He likes to gamble, and he fancies himself an analytics guy, but he doesn't know how analytics actually work. It's the only reason he failed as a coach. He was a pretty good recruiter, a damn good developer, but totally screws up as a game day coach.
