From the press conference, Foucha with another pick today and Jordon Jones did work as well.

I honestly think our offensive lines and QBs will be better this year also just from actually facing pressure and blitzes. In practices. I felt like with bielema half the problem with the QBs and line was they never knew what a blitz looked like until it was hitting them (literally)

Doesn't Chad's offense have a lot more quick passes where the OL is just chop blocking? I honestly can't remember. But I would imagine that takes a lot of pressure off, as opposed to constantly trying to hold blocks for 3-7 seconds against Bama, LSU, AU, etc...

How did our freshman saviors do?
Posted on 8/18/18 at 3:36 pm to RunningBlake
So either Ty is done as a starter or our defense is legit

Please remember that we are razorback fans... which one is more likely?

Yeah, I never did think ty and Cole were even. No mention of freshman qbs.
ETA: I'll believe the defense is legit when I see them have a solid performance against a good team

Craddock mentioned them and said they’re going to try and play them in the 4 OOC games to see if they’re the guy for SEC play.

Maybe I'm just forgetting but did Bert run this many scrimmages leading up to the season opener?
Posted on 8/18/18 at 6:52 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
eh why not play them if you can. at some point one of them maybe needed to play. that experience could be valuable.

Yeah so did Petrino.

Here’s the quote that 247 has on it:
Craddock...On the young QBs...
"I think you've got to play them early to see what they've got. When we hit Game 4 in the SEC West, if they are the guy we've got to know what they can do."

At least they understand the danger of the sec west and aren't taking it lightly it sounds like

After listening to Chad and chavis I am sold on this staff. Man you can tell they know what they're doing. They coach with urgency and its nice to hear them addressing some of the major issues we've all talked about. Chad talking about getting extra conditioning a sign he knows we had trouble fading at the end of games. Chavis talking about us needing to tackle better and that we're gonna tackle better. So refreshing to hear coaches who can identify a problem and work to correct it. Makes me think they'll be better in game coaches as well

Yeah, I think the energy and enthusiasm from Morris is at a higher level than the previous coach.
I'm hopeful he will be more creative on offensive as well, similar to Petrino.
Chavis I guess is going to be more aggressive on defense. I would think that makes sense to try sense not being aggressive last year was a disaster, so only thing you can do is try something different.
Just not too sure about our talent on the o-line and we might be thin at LB if we start getting injured there.
But we could also have a handful of the younger guys break through this year and be pleasant surprises, you just never know how a season will play out until it does.

I think one thing that is going to help us is the fact that most teams now days dont run a whole lot of 21 and 12 personnel, so we will only need 2 linebackers on the field most of the time which will play to our advantage and negate our biggest defensive weakness which is linebacker. Although we dont have many of them it sounds like we do have plenty of talented safeties and our secondary and overall defense will surprise some people. As long as we dont fade and can play a full 4 quarters I think we have a chance to be successful.
