This team needs a leader.
Last year it seemed that Ezell came in and gave this team a lift, and Campbell stepped up.
Who's the guy now?

I think they will be fine. Folks thought we were in trouble last year when we gave up 17 runs to Little Rock but we still made it to Omaha. They'll figure it out.

I just don't buy that.
No ace or depth with the starting pitching isn't going to magically fix itself. We're not going to win very many games in the SEC with this weekend rotation. Just the reality of it.
I think the offense by mid conference play will be fine, but nothing is going to help our pitching situation this year.
Not sure how with Knight and then Campbell leaving we didn't put ourselves in a better situation for the future than what we have. Hobbs may suck? They blow on him but idk. Talk is cheap. Losing Johnson hurt.

Pitching our younger talent over guys like Kopps will be a start. We have so many guys grooving the ball when behind in the count or even when they do get ahead 0-2 not setting up a pitch inside/out.

DVH said in the post game that Kopps would have to prove himself in midweek games before he got another opportunity. I imagine the same is going to be true with Denton with one more bad outing.

I haven’t updated OP. Will after the weekend. Been damn busy. This freaking virus has oil tripping. Just had one of our big conferences cancelled in Houston. Shits crazy.

Is Noland going to pitch any,or is DVH just tinkering with pitchers to see who's worth a crap?

Noland is injured for the weekend. Oblique strain.
