Draft was very kind to us again this year for the 2nd straight year after it had decimated us for years.

So after the draft, we look pretty good for next season...

LF Eric Cole(.282, 5 HR)
2B Carson Shaddy(.279, 8 HR)
CF Dominic Fletcher(.291, 12 HR)
DH Luke Bonfield(.294, 9 HR)
C Grant Koch(.264, 13 HR)
3B Jared Gates(.246, 6 HR)
1B Jordan McFarland(.271, 2 HR)
RF Evan Lee(.333, 0 HR)
Rotation
Friday: Blaine Knight(8-4, 3.28 ERA, 96 Ks, 20 BBs)
Saturday: Isaiah Campbell(Injured)
Sunday: Kacey Murphy(5-1, 3.65 ERA, 68 Ks, 28 BBs)
Every player outside of Evan Lee had multiple HRs this season. The rotation is seemingly stacked for the weekend. You still have to also consider how McKinney comes back from TJ. DVH says it is 50-50 on if he will be ready to go next season. Also have to consider Tillo and Lee as weekend starters. Though I think Lee ends up in the OF where his bat is needed more so than on the mound.

Arkansas hires Missouri State assistant head coach Nate Thompson to same position. He is the guy responsible for MSU's power development and Jake Burgers emergence.
It's funny cuz he was the 3rd base coach and our section was heckling him pretty hard all regional long and now we hire him.

Yeah he's a pretty highly regarded up and coming young coach.
Burger kind of elevated his status quickly (gives a lot of credit to his turn around to Nate) along with him recruiting their best class in school history last year with a lot of those guys being immediate impact at the plate as we saw.
