I worry about next week now, a set back with a concussion is not good, means his symptoms came back after ramping up activities.

This isn't a setback. This is completely normal concussion protocol.

No he definitely had a set back, Morris would be getting fined for saying he is cleared and ready to go, plus he took all the 1st team reps in practice.

He said he was cleared to practice.
quote:

“He’s out here again today, cleared for practice today,” he said. “It’s pretty much day to day with him right now.”
This was Wednesday at 4:30. Never once did Morris specifically mention that he had been cleared to play on Saturday, only that he had been cleared by team doctors to practice on Tuesday and Wednesday and that he ANTICIPATED him being able to play on Saturday.

Correct, he took all the first team reps on Tuesday and Wednesday and Morris said he was cleared and anticipated to play Saturday.

He only took first team reps on Wednesday until the media left, then Noland took first team reps.

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas Coach Chad Morris said Wednesday he expects quarterback Ty Storey to play in Saturday’s homecoming game against Tulsa.

Morris said team doctors cleared Storey to practice Tuesday and Wednesday, and the junior was the last player off the field Tuesday after throwing extra passes.

“We’ll re-evaluate again today, but he’s been cleared to go, so we anticipate him playing right now on Saturday,” Morris said on the SEC teleconference Wednesday morning.

You don't go from that to ruled out without a setback, period.

Absolutely none of that is definitive.

For practice. Reading comprehension my man. This interview was before the Wednesday practice.

Right, no one said game. He went from cleared and all first team reps and expected to play to out and no practice.

Clearly a setback happened, which is very common for bad concussions and typical.

He was literally never fully cleared. He was ONLY cleared for Tuesday and Wednesday practices. Morris reiterated that multiple times and would only mention Saturday as "anticipating" or "expecting" to happen. Once those were over, they re-evaluated (like he said they would) and they determined under the concussion protocol that he can't play this week. The rest is 100% Morris not wanting to tip his hand to Tulsa and have them preparing for a backup before now.

Correct, and then he left Wednesdays practice and did not return. Not participating in practice after being cleared for it.

Black and white that a setback happened. Again, VERY common.

He did participate in Wednesday practices... He took his reps then was sent to be re-evaluated just like Morris mentioned before practice started. I'm telling you this isn't some crazy setback. Doctors tentatively cleared him for two days of practice so that he could be evaluated under the concussion protocol and after that set amount of time they made a final decision. Morris obviously isn't going to be open about that from the very beginning for game-planning purposes.

Negative, you have to be cleared for practice before not after. So it's quite clear he went from a cleared practice to not being cleared the same day. Setback.

This was Wednesday. He took part. He participated in the practice he was set to participate in, then was sent to be re-evaluated, which was planned.
