I do think he is a great talent and is/was going to break 1,000 this season.

Probably not but I wish him the best and hope he can come back and contribute this year for situational plays.

Yeah I don't see him being the primary back even without this injury. He will probably get the initial carries in the warmup games but RW3 and Whaley are just much more skilled and will eventually beat him out.

He did get @400 last yr in limited play and playing FB a bunch. 1000 over 12 games and an assumed bowl game would be 77 yds/game. I guess it's possible.

So McTelvin Agim will apparently be a sophomore before he even plays in his first college game. Kids impressive.

quote:

One place that Agim is definitely not behind is in the classroom. He took college classes when in high school and thus he's far ahead in that regard. "After this semester (his first on campus) I will be classified as a sophomore academically," Agim said. "I'm still trying to graduate early (in three years)."

If there was ever an uncommon kid this is one.

Uncommon? Hell, I was a freakin sophomore too! It's not a huge accomplishment. Of course, it took me 3 1/2 years longer than it will have him.

Credit goes to the fine folks at RazorbackTalk for putting this together.

Day 11 -

Bielema - LINK
Sights and Sounds - LINK

Eric Bolin @ericwbolin
Jared Cornelius just threw a punch at Ryan Pulley.
Tangled up on a route. Standard stuff. Pulley had to be held back even three plays later when they went again.
Jeremiah Ledbetter has three sacks. Unofficial stats, of course.
The offensive line is hot garbage today.

John Nabors @TheForumJohn
Secondary seems to be causing problems in the passing game. Coverage sacks. Throws out of bounds.
Defensive line continues to overpower the offensive line. Jeremiah Ledbetter is destroying anyone in his path
DL is beastly. But o line is so inexperienced
Defensive backs continuing to impress. They have been all over the field
That being said. The offense has been atrocious today
Offensive line has been getting wrecked
Obviously this scrimmage/practice has not been as in depth as the others but man it's been pretty awful today
Kurt Anderson just lit into the offensive line. I mean that was the loudest I've ever heard him. Yikes
Ricky Town comes in. Immediately throws a pick.
RE: Qb's - Not great. Mainly due to the oline getting smoked and the DBs covering well
Rawleigh has looked the best. Because you can't tackle him. Because he's wearing green
Dominique Reed with a highlight. Incredible pass down the sidelines by Allen, Reed double covered goes and gets it. What a play
DWise. Good grief. That guy is destroying people. Unstoppable right now

Josh Bertaccini @RedZone921
Austin Allen sharp, hitting most of his throws today. Nice 40 yard deep toss to Keon Hatcher. And clean red zone out route to Deon Stewart.
Kody Walker riding around on scooter in cast. Offering support to RW3, Evans & Day. J-Will here on field today too.
Froholdt & Ledbetter going at it today like a couple of angry mammoths.
Ryan Pulley with an acrobatic interception over Cheyenne O'Grady on Peavey heave near sideline. Pulley making strides.
Really good deal for JaMichael Winston. Has gotten into QB's face multiple times. Getting around Jackson & Gibson on edge.
The burst sure looks like it's there for RW3 this spring. Hard to tell for sure with the green shirt on though.
Much better day as far QB/Center exchanges. Can't recall seeing one on the ground today after fumble mess last week.
Dominique Reed goes human highlight reel like Wilkins, up top for a deep TD snag of Allen heave over two DBs.
Juan Day with easily his best scrimmage so far. Getting more reps without Kody and finally springing a couple of longer runs.
Practice now over. Bielema in center of field telling team to "keep making progress, value the work you put in today, value the lessons."
Bielema: "I feel like we had our best practice to date on Thursday. Today was another good step for us."
Bielema: "We needed to focus on running the ball and building rhythm in the offensive line. That was a key part of the work today."
Bielema: "I've been waiting to see that jump and confidence from J-Day. I think we finally saw that today."
Bielema: "It's a microwave world. Everyone wants things to happen right now. That's not how it works in life. We're getting better daily."
Bielema, knocking on wood podium: "Jeremy Sprinkle is playing so well. He's got incredible skill. I think he's an All-American tight end."
Bielema, on Spring Game: "We'll do some cool nostalgia stuff after 1st & 3rd quarters. 1st team vs. 2nd team. Double points for 2nd team."
Bielema: "Cole (Hedlund) hasn't missed a kick in over a week. He's been outstanding all spring. He's the top guy."
Bielema: "Rawleigh will play next week. We'll figure something out to keep him involved even though you still can't touch him."

Hawgs Illustrated @HImagazine
Coach B: I challenged the guys after Tuesday's practice that we were doing fine, but really wanted everybody to come together
Coach B: OL Hjalte Froholdt and Colton Jackson looked as good as they have; Wanted Rawleigh Williams to get a chance to run with the ones
Coach B: Like what I see from Jamario Bell at tight end
Coach B: Rawleigh Williams is at 218 after playing in the 220s last season
Coach B: DJ Dean is going through some personal things as well as his foot injury. Good to see him back out there
Coach B: For some reason, I just got something in me on Monday and Tuesday that I wanted to announce Austin as the starting QB
Coach B: I let Rafe know about Austin being named the starter, but didn't let Austin know until a meeting with the players on Tuesday
Coach B: Jalen Merrick was working at RT - he likes that better. Gave him a little bit of work to see what they can do
Coach B: Jake Hall could help us as an inline tight end
Coach B: Praising the work of DE Deatrich Wise, his maturity and his execution on the field
Coach B: I would say that Rafe is the number two, but he went the wrong way today. Ty is doing some really good things. Football IQ is great
Coach B: Ty just needs more reps to get better
Coach B: Red-White game will be ones against the World.
Coach B: I am not in the frame of mind of having a draft or something like that. I want the ones to work together as they have been doing.
Coach B: I don't think that Cole Hedlund has missed a field goal in practice or a scrimmage
Coach B: Incoming freshman Jordan Jones could be an option in the return game
Coach B: Toby Baker will be the holder and Reid Miller is working as the second guy there. Toby is also having a great spring punting

Andrew Hutchinson @NWAHutch
Bielema: Hjalte Froholdt probably had his best two practices Thursday and today. I thought Colton Jackson did well, too.
Bielema: I liked what I saw from Jamario Bell at tight end.
Bielema on RWIII, who went through non-contact scrimmage action today: I think he looks exceptional.
Bielema, on Deatrich Wise: I had to take him out today. He's so disruptive, I wanted to get some type of rhythm going (on offense).
Bielema on Reed: Unfortunately, he isn't any heavier. He still doesn't like to eat, which drives me crazy.

Apparently. I asked Nabors about it last week and he said it's legit.

C.J. said that's what he wanted to be called henceforth. CBB has mentioned him by that name in a couple of things.

ETA: Sounds like Pulley is still pissed after getting pantsed by JCorn the other day.

Have you figured out the stuff with Beanum that is keeping him out all spring?

Man Froholdt might be the biggest blessing on the O-line. He's obviously transitioned very well, and is making an impact. To me this is the best news because the O-line has some issues right now.

No. I'm curious what it could be though because Bielema said something yesterday in his press conference about being in touch with his family and the medical personnel or something along those lines. It was odd the way he worded it.

Everything from this spring sounds the same as we've heard for the past couple years. Dominating d-line, keeping starting RBs out of contact, swapping DEs and TEs, OL getting shuffled to hell. All that's missing is the Luke Rossi hype. I guess that can wait till fall.
