Just judge how you think your team will do based on the total talent you have available

I would think it depends on how you get to 6-6 or 7-5. Injuries, OT losses, etc.

Well after I first looked at next years schedule In December my first thought was we might go 4-8, and that 5-7 was most likely scenario so hopefully it works in reverse
