be way harder to make the final four in the next few years at Fayetteville than Lubbock.

But apparently Beard’s voiced his frustrations with lack of fan support and overall support from Tech investing in the program.

Where are you getting this? The only thing I remember is him not condoning a chant about Young last year.

Arkansas certainly has a higher upside longer term but there would be no real reason to leave now even if he had no connections to Tech.

I agree we don’t have a ton to offer and he has the connections there. But apparently Beard’s voiced his frustrations with lack of fan support and overall support from Tech investing in the program. Both of these things would be better here, and you’d think it’s way easier to recruit to Fayetteville than to Lubbock.

Fayetteville is not within 2 hours of his three daughters.

Beard doesn't have these made up frustrations with Texas Tech and Lubbock. I wish some of you would let Beard go. It is probably never going to happen until at least, his daughters are much older.

Agreed, Beard is not coming here unless we offer 5M+.

We need to get a head start on wooing Musselman.

For the record I’m not all aboard the Beard train, I was just answering the question and passing along info. Sure I’d take Beard, but I agree highly unlikely at this point.

Thanks for the info. I tend to look at everything through Hog colored glasses. I mean Tech vs Arkansas ? Man. Anyway, Thanks.

You're not wrong. By most objective measures, Arkansas is a better job than Texas Tech. If the job came open, he would be my first option. I like his resume, track record of quick turnarounds, and the fact that his teams play defense.

However, I have no clue if he would be interested in making the move or if Arkansas would pay the money necessary to get him.

If he's not willing to come, move on down the list.

I don't think there's a chance we get Beard now, but I did want to jump all over him when he was at UALR. Seeing all of this play out since then has been frustrating.
