He did the same thing last year with Storey and Kelly.
This year he has two elite 11 QBs from Texas, a QB his son was unable to beat out at a HS in Texas, and the QB he hand picked turning away a higher rated prospect from Texas who had direct bloodlines to the program.
If he gets another year, you can bet it will be the same story just the names changed yet again.

I suppose I get Chad’s line of thinking in going with a “safer” option in a game we have a better chance in than we had against Alabama or Auburn. But eventually you’re going to have to get the young guys some reps. Can’t only play them against LSU when it’s a blowout.

I actually like Mike Irwin a lot, and I know a lot of people don't. I just wish someone would hurry up and touch that Porkatarian guy however he needs to be touched so he can stop playing pretend bigshot to Internet strangers with his vague prognostications from "sources."
