Get me on the Auburn board for a chat concerning Gus...
I will absolutely be respectful to the auburn program, but will give my opine on GM.
There Is no doubt Auburn has been a better program than us, and no doubt we could do much better if the right coach is hire and lightening strikes..

Yeah, Harry Rex has asked also.... Point being, they are one surly bunch when speaking about this stuff and some are here.. Why not let a few of us go there and discuss this intelligently?

It really is lame. Team boards are one of the last places you can go to get information about a team and avoid all the trolling. Auburn is really the only group that loves their safe space.

I made petition for a straight up and down vote by the members of the AU board for new entries from opposing fan bases... the reaction was overwhelmingly against even having a vote and that all outsiders be forever banned.... btw... you’re getting a new bus for Xmas

See I'm basically hearing the opposite - that Gus isn't being considered as much as being talked about. I don't think HY is fond of him like his cult is, and he supposedly isn't going to even consider him seriously unless other options fall through.
All the talk is coming from national media consistently plugging Gus into the search because they don't know anything otherwise and want to fill their lists of candidates. People are taking it and running with it as gospel, then other people hear/see that and tell THEIR friends. Then word gets around, and what was once some dude's guess that knows nothing about the search becomes fact.

That’s about how interested we’d be in him.
Besides, ya’ll signed him to that dumb contract and there’s nonsense in a division rival helping you subsidize that stupid decision.
