Last season we lost by 19 to UNC, lost by 26 to Houston, lost by 21 to LSU, lost by 15 to UF, lost by 15 to UK, lost by 18 to Tennessee, and 17 to Butler.
Mike is the very definition of mediocre. It sucks. I wish he had more success, but he doesn't. He's leaps and bounds better than Stan Heath and John Pelphrey, but he has hit his ceiling here.

There are 5 coaches in the SEC that are leaps and bounds above Mike. That's not good.

Its been 8 years. Mike is who he is at Arkansas. I wish he could win a national title here. I'd be thrilled to death. But at some point in time you are who you are.
We might make a run towards the end of the season, the SEC is not awe inspiring this year. But unless Mike has some magic hidden away we know what his ceiling is.
I'd rather have Mike Anderson as our AD then as our head basketball coach at this point.

This team won't reach its ceiling this year. Next year will truly be his make or break year. And I'll be OK with that. I still think this team will make a run this season, but it's becoming pretty clear they really need another year to mature.
This team has a higher ceiling than any he's had here yet.

Why did people really think this was a good match to begin with? You can’t go back home and it be the same.

Most of these people are talking out their arse.
There's no problem criticizing Mike. Just be honest in your criciticisms. You can't say his system is outdated and doesn't work, because it clearly does. Now, the team isn't good enough yet to turn that into wins every night, but it is dishonest to say this style of ball doesn't work.
They know it too, that's why they take the 14 turnovers comment and apply it to other areas of the game that aren't applicable. "We are losing Dan Gafford? No big deal because they forced 14 turnovers."
To anyone with some sense about themselves these comments are absurd. They don't care. They're too dumb to know any better.
