His recent work with Cam and Jake are tough to beat…most special teams coordinators don’t know shite about kicking or kickers or what it takes to develop them. Scott isn’t a kicking coach, he just has a developed schedule and tons of data. My boy will effectively have an opportunity to ‘kick against Cam’ at every charting session. Pretty cool.
Our current kicker is losing that competition daily apparentlu

As would damn near every kicker since there were kickers. If you want to be 85% in games you better be well north of 90% practicing day to day…not missing at all most days. Say you chart 12 kicks 3 times a week. Shooting for less than 3 misses out of 36…going back to whatever you want your gameday long to be. Asking normal humans to do that is crazy…you simply can’t. I’m sure even Cam had bad weeks…also perfect weeks as well.

This may be the recruit I'm most excited about.

If Evan was on the team this year the Hogs would be 5-1.
Best of luck to him the rest of the season and get his leg to Fayetteville as soon as possible.

Gaston, you said he was rated through a different service. Just curious what that service is? I’m guessing pretty much no kicker gets anything above 3 stars on the traditional services. I’m most interested in, on average, how many kickers are rated as 5 star any given year through the service you’re speaking of.
Young man is obviously a stud in the kicking department. You’d think more weight would be given to the elite kickers, such as your son, on the traditional sites. I mean, an elite kicker can win you a LOT of games.

Kohl’s is the ranking service, and there ends up being around 50 5 star kickers by the end. Rankings mattered more earlier in the recruiting process when there were far fewer.
On3 and 247 have him as the top kicker, but still only 3 stars.

Good info. Thanks. Selfishly, wish he could just come on aboard now.

Would you say the odds of him sticking with Arkansas through the process and signing are high? 50%? Less? I know only your son can make the decision but wondering how set your boy seems to be. Obviously you’re an lsu guy so I’d guess if they offered that would be hard to turn down

I have a feeling it is based on where our ST coach is at the time. If he is still here.... We most likely get the incredible young kicker/,man!

I hope for his son's sake that he doesn't start spouting on the internet that he's probably not going to stick with his commitment

Lol until this week the whole coaching staff was questionable for next year, so I can’t blame him

He didn’t get an OU offer, just back channel interest from them.
My son likes coach Fountain very much…coach is somehow getting to Tylertown MS to come see his game on Friday. That’s a haul from any airport. Probably his 7th or 8th visit down, no other coach has visited or gone to one of his games…none.

so, much of what I figured above?
He has a special bond with our ST coach, Fountain. Awesome. The young man seems to have his head on straight, congrats bro!

This guy just broke the news his son is flipping to Florida on the rant

Funny arse thread he's getting shite on
Just goes to show how shite recruiting is and how many lies it all is.
Special bond with ST coach, Ark was there day 1, Cam Little connection to "he wants to go to Florida" lmao.
I'd never make it in recruiting to do all that for a kid going above and beyond all others and have him just leave last second for no reason.
