Nice. When I was young, it seems like Arkansas always had an elite kicker.

Who's the a-hole downvoting a commit's dad's posts?

Kid has a serious leg on him. If he keeps improving in college he might have a shot at the pros.

Probably an LSU fan pissed off they don't have a kicker that Brian Kelly has enough confidence in to kick a field goal against Notre Dame on the first possession of the game. They jelly he's coming to a quality school.

Forrest County Agricultural High School in Brooklyn MS, just south of Hattiesburg.

ETA: the one reply to that post is a video of him kicking a 59 on sticks…really shows his effortless pop. VERY similar to Cam.

That’s insane at that level. Do you have a coach working with him outside of practice or is that all self taught?

He was self taught up to the 8th grade. After that football season, he was QB in Jr High (stemming from his center-mid play in soccer), he wanted to focus on kicking. From a recommendation on tigerdroppings I took him to a camp in NOLA run by a fella from New Jersey. He tied for the camp win with a 52 yarder off of the ground. That guy offered, if we got him to Orlando that February, to coach him the correct form for free. He’s worked with that coach, and been to countless camps, since then.
He’s ranked through a different service though…following his freshman year he started competing…charted the best in his class and won the field goal competitions for 4 straight national invitational camps over 2 years. I say this because these competition camps really aid in development and the ability to handle pressure.
Coach Fountain offered him a full scholarship before his Jr year and he committed that fall.
He’s friends with Cam, same coach, and kicked with him a bunch leading up to the draft tryouts. Kicking with him and Parker Romo, also trained in Fayetteville, were another big aid in development.

I worked with his mom during that. He really worked hard and tried not to suck, but he folded under pressure.

He was kinda the first player I really remember people coming after. The internet was a thing and it was easy to pile on. I felt somewhat bad for him but man he did choke a few.

Nutt didn't help. He was the QB and Kicker killer. Could just absolutely destroy them mentally.

You obviously weren't freezing your arse off in Memphis during the kicking competition game
