On paper.

Where has Burt's stellar recruiting gotten us?

You honestly think Petrino goes 0-8? Even with that same team?

Another false narrative point.

Can anyone tell me who his OC/QB coach is? You suck at fake narratives. Now if you would have said GA's hated him, then I would be giving you some kudos.

Stupid arse point and you know it.

But I'd also take Nutt 3x on Sunday vs the Hamburgler.

I am not pleased with the reversal of the slow but upward trend we had going either.

But to pretend that Petrino's exit and John L.'s year didn't burn the mf'er to the ground is just plain denial.

No its not, the fallacy is that Petrino was such a great QB guru he made Dick into a serviceable QB in one year, truth is Nutt burned his redshirt for the "new season" his freshman year, he lost the job due to injury before regaining it due to interceptions and was only benched as Petrino "built for the future" trying every QB on the roster his senior year.

Did I say that?

Its just as plausible as the team Wilson's senior year winning 10+ games.

What?

Did he have his best year by far under Petrino or not? He threw for 385 in one game. Petrino had nothing to do with that?

Not sure what your point is at all.

What happened to Wilson after Petrino was gone?

Plausible? Maybe.

Not probable and you know it.

Quit making yourself feel better about our fat shite burger stealing coach.

By your logic, Petrino took a 8 win Cotton Bowl QB and after his magic produced a 5 win LSU bowl QB.

You know that's not true. What point are you even trying to make?

Your conjecture we would go downhill is less plausible than mine.

Piofeet and his soap dish.

Dude, nothing fake about seeing the recruiting tapering off, the shine was diminishing.

I had a major player in the College Bowl world say... I am quoting here Piofeet... See the quotes? "If Petrino is at Arkansas, we will never select Arkansas again to come to _________________ bowl"

When you piss off everyone who can help you recruit, build, coach a team.. .this is where you go. > NCAA HELL!

Loved his wins, hate his personality, ways, arrogance.

I set with Petrino for a luncheon. Only around 12 of us in the room. The man was a lying scumbag, that could coach. He couldn't recruit worth a dang. How is that for your narrative?

You can't depend on coaching to overcome that discrepancy in league just like you can rely on talent to overcome coaching. He hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire at Louisville since then with an easier schedule, better inherited defensive recruits, or with the best player in the country on the field for him who happens to play QB, so obviously there is more to the foozballs than having a good QB...

This, every bit of this... and then some...

It's a simple question:

Get busy winning or get busy losing.

I'd rather be winning.

this has turned into a fun game.. however I will try to insert some honesty.

Petrino was a winner, at a point. He also would never recruit at a high enough level to have sustained success. His lifestyle/personality just wouldn't allow it. Look at the attrition rate alone during his time here and immediately following.

I am in no way, shape, or form saying that CBB is a better coach. He isn't by a long shot. But CBB is getting a longer trial here than BP got for several reasons, the biggest reason. HE ISNT BOBBY PETRINO! Let that sing in for a bit. His bosses, his employees, his staff, his academic support group got to the point that they hated him.

this is not a false narrative...
