Yeah I really hope Bielema isn't pressured in to going with Loggains. There are plenty of better options out there for us.

Isn't that the midget that held the clipboard during the Matt Jones era?

saw this description of Chaney's offense on another board. thought it was good
quote:
Chaney's offense is like writing a novel. His opening hook and character development are very good but when it comes to core conflict and conclusion, he gets writer's block and the initial plot line falls off the map and there is no resolution to the story.

Chaney's offense = Battlestar Galactica

Roper - No. FL had talent last year and still couldn't do much of anything. Didn't really seem to do a good job of developing QB talent either.
Well, they did go from 18ppg in 2014 to 30ppg in 2014.

I don't know how the rest of the board feels but I would be ok with Lunney as OC. It's not a "wow" move but it's solid and I think he would do a good job.
My ideal hire would be Chad Morriss but I think we all know that ain't happening. contrast of styles to say the least.

He's also the head coach at SMU now.

I'm not on the Lunney train. If he were to be promoted to that position then I would have a little more confidence in him because people with more knowledge deemed him worthy. I wouldn't think he would be a serious candidate at this point.

Was listening on the radio today at lunch that Coach B and Chaney were at each other late in the season. No one knows why or what the reason was, but just people from inside the program have said that late in the season Coach B and Chaney were butting heads over something, or maybe a few things, etc.
Anyhow, they went on to say that coach B was blindsided by Chaney leaving. If it was, in fact, Coach B's decision for him to go, then he would have already had a plan in place for a new OC. It made a little sense to me, but the big debate was why were coach B and Chaney butting heads late in the season?
It was late in the season when we started playing well and we were winning. We laid an egg at Mizzou, but other than that we were rolling. What could they have been indifferent about late in the season?

So that comes from someone in the Arkansas "media?" In that case, 100% no way it happened that way.
I'm sure Bert got sick of the stupid play calls just like we all did. Not to mention, Chaney's paid to lead an effective offense and he failed many times, especially in crucial moments. We could have easily won 2-3 more games with better play calling.

Does Tedford run spread?

If it was up to me...
I would make a run at Dave Warner Co-OC at Michigan State.
If Warner said no.....maybe look at Bob Bostad. Make Bostad OC and TE coach and move Lunney to QBs.

don't know if true, but if so, it's honestly a little concerning to me. there were a lot of rumblings that bielema and matt canada butted heads while at UW.
