Was waiting on the website to update with the latest stats after last night.
We are 42/197 for a team batting average of .213, with 29 walks and 55 strikeouts.
Team ERA is a 2.50 with an opposing BA of .228
We are 3/3 on stolen bases through 6 games. Opponents are 9/11.

I'm not worried about the averages. Those'll come around. The walk to strikeout ratio signals a piss poor plate approach, though.

It's bad, but still early with bad weather limiting AB's and outdoor practice time.

Warm weather doesn't cure bad swings at the plate.
Warmer weather and those south winds at home could be an issue if they continue those gorilla ball approaches.
Hopefully a few bats start stepping up with all the talent.

Ya but it brings a livelier ball and not being as tight and getting regular full practices outside.

Didn't we build an indoor practice facility the likes of which very few programs have just to ensure everyone could be ready at the beginning of the season???

Indoor half field is not game day outdoor practice. Not even close.

The indoor practice facility is only an infield with mound/bases and batting cages, doesn't have an outfield.

DVH was literally raving on it about how big of advantage it was to be able to hit in the indoor facility this winter for player development
