Smith looked really good. Location was iffy maybe an inning but his mixture of fastballs and offspeed combined with his release angle as a lefty makes him a serious problem for batters.

Time to see if Wiggins has taken the next step. Him and Smith being solid starters will go a long way this year.

Cautiously optimistic considering if Pallette didn't get hurt Wiggins wouldn't even be a weekend starter and he throws 100 and has had more coaching than anyone.

Very anxious to watch Wiggins.
A solid game could move Smith to a Friday guy, Wiggins to Saturday and Noland to Sunday before April.

Ready to see how much of a step forward (if any) Wiggins has taken. Come on, Hobbs, prove me wrong.

I'm probably too optimistic but you have to beleive that Wiggins is on the cusp of an Isaiah Campbell turning moment. Not to the extent that Campbell put it all together because that was amazing, but if Wiggins can have a couple games where he gets confidence in locating his spots, his stuff will take care of the bats.

The lack of mid week games really hurt us last year with pitching development.
