Probably not gonna lose with him on the bench all night.

However he's not gonna be the go to first option.

Probably a play em if you got to and he's still throwing effective

Really going to depend on how the game plays out. Ideally you hope to get another great outing from Lockhart. If he can give you 6 complete innings and Arkansas has the lead, you can get 3-4 outs from Costeiu which gets you to the 8th with 1 out. Wiggins has yet to throw so he is an option for possibly a couple innings. Monke, Noland, Morris should also be ready to see action.

It actually may be a case where if we have the lead, you see Lockhart, Monke/Noland/Morris/Wiggins and then let Coseiu close the door in the 9th.

All things considered and how the strike zone has been absolute dick all weekend, our pitching sets up pretty well.

Pitching Available for Sunday Night(Fri pitch count)
Heston Tole(15)
Caden Monke(19)
Connor Noland(23)
Caleb Bolden(34)
Ryan Costeiu(38)
Jaxon Wiggins(0)
Zack Morris(0)

didn’t know if that was just me or what But my god your right man, it’s like he doesn’t call either corner the plate is about a for smaller than it should be but then every one in a while he’ll call a borderline strike 3 to get a punch out. The umps we’ve had this weekend have been fricking horrible

“Umpire syndrome” with stars….

Happens all the time. You get told by everyone how good someone is, the media BOMBARDS you with it. Then you start seeing things that really aren’t there. “Well that one was close but outside…buuuut it was really close and this guy is so good on the edges…must have been a strike.”

That sort of thing…

Seen it with batsmen as well. A guy develops a great rapport with umps and has a ”rep” for a superb eye. “Well, he laid off that close one on the corner that was a strike so it must of been a ball. Same syndrome.

NBA is worst of all…Stars get EVERY call…slightest touch or even phantom touch = foul

in this instance though…I thought Kopps REALLY good! Great command, placement, mix of his pitches. I can see why he is respected. But sure…he is totally overhyped.

He IS hittable and we proved that!

I'm really not sure why Kopps is being used as much as he is. I don't want him to be arm fatigued by the time we (should) get to Omaha.
