The biggest thing that stands out is we are #1 in conference at the freethrow line. 77%

Better free throw shooting is probably one advantage of being such a small team. We weren’t a good rebounding team last year even with Gafford so even if we aren’t good at rebounding this year but are better at FT shooting it’s a net positive.

Great news indeed. Anything over 75% as a team is excellent, IMO. That's like the magic number you gotta hit in order to be a title contender. Keep that up and we'll be good.

I don't think Mason Jones has missed a free throw yet.

streak still lives on. we're a better looking team than last year already. you can tell there is gameplan. talent wise we're going to be shorter than last year and need to manufacture some offense at times. but we seem to know that and are working on how to play to our strengths.

Arkansas has only allowed 132 points in three games (43, 43, 46) which is the program’s lowest point total through three games since the 1946-47 season when the Hogs only allowed 122 (21, 55, 46). Also, according to records available (dating back to 1969-70 by HogStats.com) this is the only time Arkansas has held its first three opponents to less than 20 points in the first half spanning the first three games (Rice 19, North Texas 16 and Montana 18).

Not likely at all but if we keep at this FT% rate it will be our best in the last 50 years or so (stop looking before the '69 season). We did shoot one percentage lower in in 2017 so I doubt we break that mark. Playing alot of guards helps our rate as well.

@NikkiChavanelle: Eric Musselman was coy about it but it sounds like a pre-game decision on Reggie Chaney’s status tomorrow. #WPS

Might take awhile but should really take some pressure off some of the other guys if he can slowly work his way in the line up.

I think Chaney is gonna play like a monster in this system. I think this guy has a very high ceiling.

ETA: like you say, it may take some time, but I doubt it takes too awful long. Guy has a ton of talent.
