I don’t care

I’m tired of the entire story honestly. I’m tired of players kneeling. I’m tired of Bubba from Lonoke telling me why he is boycotting the NFL. I’m tired of seeing people say it’s disrespectful to our military, when in fact our military has fought for their right to freely protest.

I wouldn't mind the ad except for the 'sacrificing everything' part. It's like Nike's begging to be ridiculed.

The problem with Kap begins with the socks he wore of Police as pigs, then the movement that he helped start that speaks down at our officers. And, "Sacrifice Everything" dude, your alive and breathing.. have fandom and attention now, getting $$$... good health, STFU with that stuff. It is such a pansy thing to do with regard to who has truly sacrificed for our great nation.

Yep, they had done some things that shouldn't have been done in the line of duty. But the few doesn't make the whole. Kap has taken a cause and become famous over it. He was a mediocre QB, but now he is known. as far as the Flag. Stand, show respect for our nation or at least those who have died fighting for the rights, freedoms that we have. I am not outraged at all by those who kneel or at Nike. I have come to expect it. Disrespect is everywhere, no respect for parents, authority, government, rules, and pansies abound. It is the norm in society today. Take the time to watch the reverend who spoke at Aretha Franklin's funeral. Give me your opinion on that. Is he right? hmmmm

For Nike it is awesome publicity and they see the denigration of our society, the coming generations as what they are. They are capitalizing on that exact thing. So what if they lose sales for 6 months as long as they capture the hearts of the ultra libs of the future. Show me the money, is all that they care about.

If that wasn't true, their products would be made in the USA rather than at sweat shops elsewhere.

Now... On to a president that loves to stir up stink as well. He is great at marketing and isn't this kind of ironic. Nike stole one from his play book by doing this on a holiday weekend when few would, could respond. Including him. The sales will pick up again after he blasts them on Twitter.

Marketing 101, sit back and watch...

as for the UofA? I don't give a crap what they wear, for the umpteenth time... JUST WIN BABY!

His problem truly begins in that his whole stance is based on keeping himself relevant not sacrifice.

This isn't the same as Tommie Smith and John Carlos and their black power salute when they were at the top of their sport. Kap took a knee after Gabbert took his job.

When he was a star in the NFL leading the 9ers to the Superbowl, the narrative was how he was so lucky to have been raised by who raised him. They just so happen to be white.

So his whole stance on "racial injustice" seems to be less than sincere. He isn't in the NFL because he took a knee, he isn't in the NFL because he isn't good enough to make a roster.

Pretty much this for me and I imagine for a lot of us.

Now some of us are going to fight this battle for years whether they support it or hate it. Most of us don't care.

Kneel. Don't kneel. Whatever. All I ask is that you not haul your weenie out and start waving it around on the field. Otherwise just get out there and play whatever sport it is you are doing.

If some of y'all want to have the crying fits over this, for whichever side you support, go for it. It is, if nothing else, amusing to watch y'all get all worked up about it.

First thing first - Nike are geniuses with this campaign. They have the whole world talking about them for free because of this.

My personal view on it though, is that they should have not used him and had a bit better taste in who they chose to represent this campaign.

No one knows/remembers the original message including Kaepernick himself. This campaign is using race and political agenda to make money and its very unethical IMO. Also, I do not think owners are colluding against him, but more so do not want to be represented/associated by someone like him. That is not collusion, and I doubt owners ever talked about this together. And most importantly, he lost his job because of himself, no one else.

Photos are powerful, and words on pictures can be dangerous. We have to remember that others take the message in in different ways than ourselves. Some people do get worked up, just like others get worked up about other things.

My only issue with it is it makes a hack out to be a martyr. It's a stupid slogan for who it's associated with. The guy sacrificed nothing and makes millions from Nike for just being who he is. Strip all of the politics out and it's still a dumb campaign.

ohhh, I guarandamntee you Kap got some major $$$ out of this.

But the amount of exposure is brilliant... for someone without any morals or scruples. I agree with your summation.

But then again. Nike actually kind of sucks, Hate their shoes....

Oh he is a huge hack and Nike is because of this.

I have seen that Nike and the "Just do it" isnt afraid of challenges.

I feel like that is a dumb response from the media.

I mean look, they can race bate with this shite, but remember, Urban Meyer was the biggest piece of shite for awhile because he "minded his business". **Not trying to go off topic, but I hope you all can understand the comparison. What is right and what is wrong in this country?

Oh man, its a very unethical situation with this campaign.

But like I said, what is right and what is wrong, and whom determines that?

Conglomerates that control your life without you knowing. Just passing what most probably don't know that media comes from a lot of places, but most of it is controlled by a few places.

See what pictures with words can do?

I mean this should have been a meme long ago, but get this, Nike is using it with an unemployed athlete. Tell me this isn't stirring shite by Nike.
