t's a legally binding contract, dude. We compromised to get these. We'll have whites next year. Contracts don't operate on little one liners like "Deals are made to be broken" in real life. They operate on actual law.

Deals are changed all the time and negotiation is ongoing. If you think every contract is "ironclad" than you're incredibly naive and I hope you aren't involved in any major business negotiation.

We have been notoriously bad the last few years in that category and this is a perfect instance of it and our poor little ole Arkansas philosophy.

There's also time and resources involved that perhaps the University deemed weren't worth the effort when a simple compromise was available for a few more months. These things don't operate inside a vacuum.

And let's drop the lil ole Arkansas schtick. You're perpetuating that in this thread more than anything the University does.

"Oh noes, we're irrelevant because I didn't get a white jersey I wanted!!!". No, that's just the bricks and is a giant case of little man syndrome.

Grow up, wait another few months, and we'll have that precious white jersey that, without it, somehow damns our program into the eternal pits of irrelevancy.

How do you think we got this? We negotiated with Nike when this wasn't apart of the deal.

Its just typical arse backwards Arkansas where we will have this one home jersey and then a stupid high school jersey on the road.

Glad you guys are cool with it and my apologies for voicing an issue with it when we probably have 3-4 people paid 6 figures in the department that their sole job is to focus on this sort of thing.

Nothing wrong with saying we suck at it and being frustrated with our archaic, overpaid athletic department.

No one minds pointing out criticism. It is the way you do it that comes off as just wanting to complain about anything. One way to look at it is the AD actually made a step to get us back to some uniforms we love and worked a way to get halfway there this year. You took it the whole other way and act condescending when someone points out reasons why were not able to make a full change this year.

He also said we compromised to get this which means we negotiated a better deal.

Fair enough.

I guess I'm just the only one in the camp that if you're going to get the home jerseys changed, just go all out and get both done.

Again, many people paid a lot of money in the department to manage this and nothing else which I do have a problem with.

I think this is the big difference. I believe most are fine with this deal as oppose to the jerseys of last year. If we have some strange uniform combo the following year and the Long deal is over, I will join you criticizing it.

Sounds like he initiated it as soon as he got here

Shortly after Morris arrived at Arkansas, he asked the equipment staff how the program could get back to the iconic look. That was a traditional look for the Razorbacks, but to order the uniforms took a year or a year and a half, Morris said.
