During the height of SEC football in history we finished #5 in the country and got as high as #3 in the nation. We won the West in 2006 and were a muffed punt away from possibly playing for a national title or at least a BCS bowl then as well. to say that our football program has not had more success than our bball program in the last 20 years is beyond retarded. There is absolutely no logic in your line of thinking.

We were THIRD in 2010 because we lost the head to head with LSU.
And that team was better than any team Houston Nutt ever put on the field.

The other 2 teams in the west were number 1 and number 2. I'd contend that Mallett's final year was the best team in 20 years, just had some unlucky bounces. That is back to back top 10 teams. And despite Nutt's obvious issues we had some magic on the field during his 10 years. Has Mike had a team in the top 25?? Arkansas has been a legit threat at college football a good 6 or 7 times in 20 years. MA has been a laughing stock. Are you 10 years old or something?

I see nothing wrong with that comparison. You have to focus on conference standings. Especially in basketball
