As funny as that is above... I was thinking about this last night. Some of the things I read on here would make "Da List" for sure as sexual harassment.

Yet, it is behind a net wall and such.

Some of these (I said some) ladies who are claiming harassment, rape even... have lived with it for years, accepted the high paying jobs that came following their encounters, became wealthy starlets, and create movies depicting the very actions they are now coming forward about.

How many films have the same things happening in them as they are claiming. What is this... Art imitating life and getting paid for it>?

Also on a more serious note, we are getting some people getting rightly called out for trying to join this movement just for the sake of it.

I'm working, so I can both bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan.

And rockiee I posted in that thread about Anzi Anzianzi (I can never remember his name ) on the poli board yesterday. I haven't read that article you posted yet but imo she felt bad about an experience- like most of us have in the past at some point- learn from it and move on. I mean you go to a guys house and he wanted sex and it became a bit awkward, oh dear- what a revelation, who knew???

Agreed, Aziz handled it perfectly. He even apologized for what she thought he did the next day. The biggest thing she was upset about was he didn't catch her non-verbal cues to stop but when she actually said something verbally, he quickly stopped.

fricking crazy how that works, right?

Reminds me of a bit Louis CK did in a special a few years ago. He talked about how he met a girl and took her home and they had started to get into each other a bit but she would always grab him if he tried to go all the way. He ended up "taking the hint" and backing off, coming to the conclusion she was cool with intimacy just not the whole package. Then they wake up the next morning and she says, "What happened to you last night?". Confused, he asked her what she meant. "Well I thought we were going to have sex." Obviously he explains her stopping his advances from his perspective and she goes on to say, "Yeah but I really like it when a guy forces his way past that. It's hot." Dumbfounded, he responds, "Lady I'm not going to rape you on the off chance it gets you off."

This could turn into an absolute shite show if it's not checked. I have many close female friends that have unfortunately had to deal with these scumbag people with no self control and anytime I hear a story like theirs my blood starts to boil, but there is another side to this coin. At some point during courtship a man has to ask/provoke/insinuate something of a relatively forward nature. Potentially sexual encounters can be extremely awkward sometimes. Misreading non-verbal responses or having the object of their affection lack the confidence to voice their own desires for the evening does not make the guy a sexual predator and this could very easily transform into the weapon of choice for spiteful people who didn't get what they wanted out of someone with even a marginally big name.

ETA: Yikes, sorry about that. Burns me up when something constructive gets bastardized by shitheads wanting handouts/sympathy/attention. I don't normally go all poli but there's my two cents.

Not to make light of a serious issue or anything, but this stuff bothers me as well. It reminds me of actors and actresses like Sigourney Weaver who come out and speak about how we shouldn't have guns...Yet she starred in the movie Aliens, for fricks sake. She has made millions of dollars glorifying the use of guns.

I wish people wouldn't put these Hollywood heroes up on such a lofty perch. It's as if we can't think for ourselves and need Matt Damon to tell us how the world works. It's ridiculous.

After having worked in customer service for a few years, I started to think some people might actually be this way. Stupidity of the general public cannot be underestimated.
