Poor Omaha. No size and crutchfield has tried to pack the lane all night and refused to guard the three. St John has a record night and he changes nothing.

I picked SJ in my bracket but I really think we are the better team after watching them close for the first time.
I agree though... we are playing with house money at this point. Have fun and see what happens!

(10) Arkansas vs (2) St Johns
1:40 PM CST (CBS)
St Johns opens at -6.5 and its went to -7.5 this morning.
If we go DJ, Nelly, Knox, TB, and Aidoo like we started last night i think we give them fits with our size inside. They run a 4 guard line up most of the time (all are 6’6-6’7) and Aidoo and Brazille should feast on Ejiofor. I think Brazille will be a matchup nightmare with their 4 guard line up.
Just need to beat them to death inside all game and look for kickouts.
Curious to see how they call this game. Last night they let St Johns do whatever they wanted on defense. Grabbing and hands all over people.
If we play smart with the ball and score a ton of points in the paint I think we win.

Im so glad we won. But im going to keep it ??. Self lost the game when he went back to Dickenson late in the second half. We had no answer until they gave us one

I will preface this by saying I could be completely wrong and we get drilled.
I still stand by my statement that St. Johns is the weakest 2 seed.
I think we are built to run with teams like St. John.
Kansas slowed us down in the second half with the zone and completely messed us up. They pound people in the paint and have a good kickout game with Mayo hitting 3's at 42%.
We for the most part took away their game in the paint. Outscored them 24-12. They kicked out and Mayo made us pay but their whole game was Mayo, Storr, and Harris mainly. We shut down the paint and told them to beat us on the perimeter.
St. Johns isn't going to slow down. They like to run just like we do. And if Theiro comes back and can give minutes St. John likely won't run a zone. Theiro has shown time and time again he can bust it from the middle.
With it being a fast paced game, If we can use TB & Aidoo to shut down the paint that leaves them with only outside shots. Unlike Omaha I don't see Cal just letting them take wide open 3's. Omaha went under screens all night and they got torched. IF we can get above the screen and stay in their chest they shoot a more normal 30% or less from 3.
Just can't get hung up in their screen heavy offense and leave guys wide open.
If we can score inside and hit 3's we can win.

can only hope.... Loved MA, he needed to change or take a break from BB, but the dude was and is incredible.
