My guess is your post was right in the midst of a barrage of undeserved backlash due to my presence so it got whacked along with everything else around it.

well, I was asked how the bowl choosing goes. I have worked with those folks for several year. I explained it, and looked later and thought.

Apparently Memphis is having a lot of water problems right now and part of the city is without water. Seen multiple KU fans (including media) that said they got to hotels today and were told they weren’t checking anyone in and reservations are canceled. Hardly any rooms left elsewhere.

Correct. The recent extreme cold front caused a lot of main water pipes to burst. I am home visiting family and we went out to the bar… They weren’t serving drinks in glass because they would have to wash them and they didn’t have the pressure to wash them. Toilets had no pressure to flush…

The city of memphis doesn't run their own water department. Infrastructure is terrible and not being kept.
This happened last year about this same time.
We found a room with water, even heated. But the downtown hotels have very little, if any, water. The marriott on poplar had none.

If you have a way to watch shows on Vice, check out a show called The Territories. The first two episodes and the last are about Memphis & midsouth wrestling. It is just Dutch Mantell, Jerry and Jeff Jarret, Lawler, and Jimmy Hart sitting around a table telling stories.
As for Memphis, its a 3rd world country. I'm not surprised this has happened, and I think the good Lord every day I don't live there anymore.
