In SEC play:

FG% 2PT% 3PT% ORB
ARK: 46.8 51.0 38.2 88

OPP: 46.9 52.3 39.1 101

DRB AST TOV FT%
ARK: 208 113 110 63.4

OPP: 232 139 110 71.3

These kind of stats will kill a team. In SEC play we are getting beat in every statistical category (overall) except steals. We can't defend the 3, we get out rebounded, we're horrible at the line, and we're breaking even in turnovers.

Take from it what you will, but I fail to see anything positive.

These stats do not include today's LSU game.

Are you denying that LSU was hot? As I said, our 3 pt d leaves a lot to be desired but it wasn't 15 open threes by any measure.

Every team we play suddenly is HOT against us. A major coincidence I think not.

Are you insinuating that is what I'm saying?

Stating facts. Every opponent we face has a career shooting game against us or a player that has struggled for weeks goes off.

it’s just bad luck that every team Arkansas plays is stupid hot and hits contested threes

Looks to me like I said that every team Arkansas plays is hot, so no. When EVERY TEAM you play play is “hot” that indicates a problem. Which is what I said in the first place. When I blame Mike’s Failure to change things up on defense as a reason for LSU getting so many threes and you counter with

You are implying that my assertation was false and it was an unusual occurrence.

For what it’s worth, 2 of LSU’s 3 highest conference point totals have come against Arkansas.

Did you not just read the stat? Our team, on AVERAGE, gives up 39% 3 point shooting. That's not teams being hot anymore. That's garbage defense.

I'm comfortable firing the entire coaching staff, and pulling the scholly of everyone on the team and starting over at this point.

Some fans have a denial problem. They deny and make excuses when it is clear that Mike is failing. Maybe he needs to part ways with some assistant coaches and hire some new ones.

We aren't where we should be. Mike is the man responsible. It's up to him to field a team that wins. The rest of the SEC has gotten better, but we're falling behind. Mike isn't going anywhere, but his seat should be hot until he gets on track.

It’s been seven years of half assed token full court defense and relentless predictable half court traps and switching. Whether the switch results in a poor mismatch (nearly every time) for us be damned.

Right now we’re that girl you call when you’re in a 2 month dry spell.

She ain’t pretty and you damn sure don’t brag to your friends about her when you get it done. But she sure boosts your confidence going forward.

This drives me nuts.
It's time to move on from Mike, just like Bert, great guy but the game has passed them by.

Sadly the GOBN will fight this tooth and nail.

I'm not, but then I never really wanted him in the first place. Nothing personal, because I'd like nothing more than for Anderson to be successful here.

Indeed.

It reminds me of a few years back in football when week after week the opposing QB had a career day against us. Some of them were legit NFL level talents... some of them weren't. Some days a QB is going to play out of their mind in a game. When some day becomes every day against you then its a cause for concern.

If Brandon Allen hadn't finally settled down and had that magical run that enabled us to win several shoot outs that year I shudder to think of what our record would have looked like.

Well that is this year's basketball team. Our offense, when it is clicking, has allowed us to win some shoot outs. But game after game an opposing player is putting up close to career numbers on us, even if they entered the game on a ice cold shooting slump.

Some days an opponent is going to shoot out of their minds. When some day becomes every day then you have a cause for concern. Right now we have a concern.
