Truth, all a player has to do now is look like they're not going for the ball and it's an instant flagrant 1. Can't blame the refs, it was the right call according to the new rules. Macon didn't go for the ball, he committed an intentional foul, that wasn't to try and stop the clock. I can't remember what the rule is specifically, but they basically have an exception for intentional fouling to stop the clock for the new flagrant 1 rule. Had they not, any and all intentional fouls would be flagrant, as they are not going for the ball.

Agreed and that can be one issue with instant replay. If they reviewed every foul call. You could probably make an argument for a flagrant on at least 10% of the calls.
