I got several different sauces at Slim Chicken's last night.

I don't know anything. I'd like to think our guy is coaching today and that would be the top 2 guys IMO.

Both of those two are home runs. Naturally it will be neither.

Has to be Norvell. Think about it. There’s been nothing about him to Arkansas. If Florida St were hiring him it would be everywhere like Lane to Ole Miss.

Norvell wanted this job before, I bet that hasn’t changed. Yuracheck said he wanted a coach that wanted to be at Arkansas.

Yes, but supposedly, he feels like he's done all he can do at BSU and wants a chance to play against the big boys. This is all pure hearsay at the moment.

I’m preparing myself to be disappointed. Then the cycle will reset. I’ll be pissed for a while. Start feeling better. Football starts and we win the first game. Think alright let’s do this. SEC games start and we go 0fer again. Contemplate suicide. Don’t go through with it. Fire coach. Repeat.

I would be willing to wager that we do not go 0fer in conference play again next year.

Winning a fricking SEC game isn't some sort of impossible task like Morris made it look. We had games on the schedule we should have won this year. What we need, simply, is a coach that can motivate his players. Apparently Morris's players thought he was a fricking dweeb or something.

And Bert's players felt entitled. Most of them are fricking gone now. Thank God. Hopefully, the new coach will purge whatever players he has to, to get the team fully behind him. No more talk of mutiny and shite.

Not me. If I don't like the hire I will not support the machine of mediocrity.

This is coming from someone who hasn't missed a game in over 10 years.

From a guy on the other board:

quote:

No one here will believe me but here’s what I was told. My best friend of 30 years called earlier. His boss and good friend is life long friends with the AD at OM.

He said they weren’t gonna fire Luke until they heard we had moved on from Kiffin and they heard who we had. At that point they knew they had to do something bc they didn’t want to get left behind.

The OM AD swears they have Kiffin and we have Harsin or Rhule. TIFWIW. I’m just relaying what I’ve been told.

Harsin I'm not sure on. Would give him a chance. Rhule is a homerun

That shite can't be right. I'm not gonna call dude a liar, but it doesn't fit with anything else we have heard from Ole Miss' end. All their peeps were saying Norvell was their primary target. No way they waited to fire their football coach until after we had passed on Lane. No way. Also, their "being left behind" isn't contingent on any hire Arkansas makes. There are 5 other programs in our division not named Arkansas. And all those programs are better than we are currently, 6 including Ole Miss.

Total bullshite. (ETA: I guess I did call him a liar)

Why do people do that? I mean, I make shite up too, but I'm doing it for gags. I don't get folks who make shite up to pass off as legitimate for e-cred.
