Hadn't visited the eventual MVP of the Texas 5A State Championship game on Friday nights this year.

Pretty stupid that people bitched about this. Its free recruiting for us. Tons of talent. Gives him free interactions. Puts us out there weekly in a recruiting hotbed.

Yeah he has signed more Texas players than Fat Bert did in 5 classes. Pretty remarkable

ok, ok... I admit, I lost my crap after one of the terrible losses this season and complained about CCM being at Jerry World in stead of recruiting.

I thought about it later, apologized... and see our recruiting.

I will apologize just one more time, but damn if the above wasn't correct.

If he doesn’t sign him I’m sure it would be a family decision. He can “recruit” him all he wants but at the end of the day he’s still his dad, which is a weird dynamic, especially at this level. Maybe Morris doesn’t feel comfortable playing for his dad (or visa versa) because the scrunity it could potentially bring. It will be interesting to watch, especially with Criswell n the mix.

Yeah, I fully don't expect him here because of the father/son dynamic.

I don’t either but I don’t think he’ll go to an SEC team or non conf that we’ll play. Maybe Clemson considering his history with Dabo?

Are you really that worried about it? Seems like kids follow their dads a lot these days.

If the Allen brothers got to play here, Chad's kid can play if he wants. We will be okay regardless and we need to let the staff do their job putting the best players on this team - even if that means he doesn't come here. Just because the team is a 2 win team does not mean your guys university isn't best for Chandler. As an outsider I'm happy I get to share the love with you guys for this university and athletics

Honestly I can’t recall a similar situation where an SEC HC is recruiting his son as a scholarship QB. If he played any other position it’s a different story but the fact he’s a QB makes it fascinating. Just imagine the BS they’d both potentially deal with (nepotism, etc), might not be worth it for either of them.

If he can't start here, he won't be starting for Dabo.
