It’s a false equivalence.
So is comparing the expectations of our basketball program to our football program, to be fair. One is significantly more prominent than the other. Missing the field of 64 routinely at Arkansas is a close enough comparison and definitely warranted all of the heat he got. He never should have gotten as much time as he did.

Muss walking onto campus and starting rumors about an in-state fab 5 in recruiting and we aren't even in year 1 yet just proves how absolutely abysmal Mike was at keeping up with the game and how much weight our program still held while he did next to nothing with it.

No one is having any fun, that's the point.

Some of us want to wait 5 years before cutting bait, others have a quicker trigger

There are essentially millions of people who work in the modern economy whose entire job is use historical data to make projections about the future. It's called forecasting, and it's not just for meteorology. JB Hunt and Walmart have thousands of them on their own. So I'm not buying that argument

Bruh, Mike was never this bad. It’s a false equivalence.

The ceiling for basketball and the ceiling for football isn’t even close. I never said Mike was bad, I said he was mediocre. That’s unacceptable in basketball. Just like it was for Pel and Heath.

Hey guys, I'm just gonna let y'all know that I'm already dead set against the next hire, whoever it may be. So when it turns out to be bad too, I will be able to come on here and win an argument.

Just so everyone's clear. BoarEd has dibs on arguments in 5 years. Bookmarked.

I'll go on record and say we should fire him mid-season his first year. And please don't persecute me with your rationality about "giving him time" and other bullshite.

In that case I guess I'm dead set against the next 3 football coaches we hire.

Maybe as a whole but for hiring a head coach I don't think they're as useful.

Weird, I guess LSU should've never hired Saban then.

Statistical analysis doesn't necessarily work with coaching, especially given all the different levels, conferences, and situations. The best coach in America might be coaching at a FCS school right now, he just hasn't gotten to the right situation with the right resources yet.

We were all in wait and see mode when Chad got hired. Some of us just saw enough a lot quicker than others.

My opinion on Chad was formed by spending a lot of time with him. I was at every practice, every press conference, etc. since he got here. I was convinced early last year that he had no clue what he was doing. It just took some of y’all longer to come around because you bought into the bullshite coming from the university.

I TRIED TO TELL YOU. Y’all didn’t listen.

Yeah it’s called recruiting rankings, there’s the correlation between wins and losses (for the most part)
