Ole Miss? Patterson will shred us.
LSU/MSU? Both way better teams.
Mizzou? Lock will butt rape us for 400 yards to win back to back Super Bowls and salvage their season.
This has 0fer written all over it after Bama and Auburn straight break us.

Yeah our secondary isn't bad but it's not good enough to overcome an abysmal pass rush

The pass rush is abysmal because our D is last in the country in blitz % on passing downs.
Just another situation where the talent is there, it is just being misused.

The conservative play has been Bert's Philosophy.
Of course he is going to hire guys with similar philosophies to his on both sides of the ball, so he doesn't have to "over-ride" them, they think the same and will do the same.
It is rare and usually forced for a HC to hire someone who is a 180* of his philosophy and it normally doesn't end well surrounded by drama.
I don't recall Paul ever being aggressive with blitzing, press man, etc at his previous stops, but really it would be only at Auburn because who GAF about Iowa State?

When we hired Smith it was "good I hope this means we blitz more now."
When we hired Rhoads it was "good I hope this means we blitz more now."
When it comes to thinking Bert might actually have a few brain cells and be able to change philosophy, we're like the dog waiting at the back door all day thinking that our owner is coming outside in just a second. This is the same dumbass who didn't come to the realization that speed matters in the SEC from a strength & conditioning and recruiting standpoint until after FOUR years on the job. There are millions of people who get paid approximately $0 to coach in the SEC who know and understand this.

We've dropped below UK on the SEC wins heirarchy since Burt was hired correct? Or do we need to lose one more?
