Who Do you think will be our starting QB next year?
I don't think it will be Austin.
I think he may have already got a shot in some games if Bret thought he was the started next year.
He either thinks Towns is the guy or Storey and doesn't want to burn his red shirt.

I don't think it'll be AA either, unless he makes quite a few changes between now and then. He has an infinitely calmer demeanor than his brother, but isn't nearly as accurate. From what I've heard, he still had problems reading defenses and he doesn't have a very good command of the offense, even with the 2s that he's been playing with for 2+ years now.
There are plenty of trustworthy people that say Peavey will never see the field as a starter here and that he hasn't progressed much (if any) from day 1.
Storey already appears to have passed Peavey in his short time here, he's got the raw talent and ability to be a damn good QB. They're working on his touch on short/intermediate throws and reading the defense. Otherwise he's got the "it" factor that makes a great college QB.
Town was brought in by the coaches becsuse they thought he could be the starter next year based on their evaluations, and he hasn't disappointed from what they've seen in practice. It'll come down to Storey and Town, and which one has a better handle on everything Enos expects them to do. The coaches put a LOT of emphasis on reading defenses and making the right check downs as well as studying the game - as much emphasis as physical ability. There will be a true no-holds-barred QB competition in the spring, and it won't have anything to do with seniority or favorites.
