Made it to Charlotte yesterday with my wife. I-95 was a parking lot so a 4 hour drive turned into a 7 hour pain filled nightmare. Who else evacuated?

I live in the Bluffton/HHI area and we were under an evacuation order so we had to split unfortunately.

I alerted my friends in Tampa several days ago.

They just boarded a plane to Dallas I believe. Weather models were jumping between Miami and Tampa throughout the week, but it looks like Tampa will get hit with some force.

Glad they left.

IN

I'm safely at home, just evacuated from Kroger's

Edit: Hope all of you come out of this safely and don't suffer too much property damage.

My cousins wedding was in Orlando when hurricane Charley(2004) blew through. Good times

Strangely enough I've been through 3 hurricanes(Bob-91, Charley-04, Dennis-05) in my life. Bad timing on my trips I suppose.

We will all need to evacuate somewhere--after this abysmal performance.

I evacuated, but it was more of an excuse to get up to AR and my folks place to see the game. At the time Irma kept heading west and looked like she could come ashore in the big bend somewhere, didn't want to be without power more than anything.

Shouldve stayed home and had some light to moderate shitty weather. At least Irma didn't frick me over this weekend too.
