i was glad someone was doing it... but I wanted no part of it.
I had a phone call from a past player and a system admin during that crap storm asking my thoughts.
Good God, the anger, resentment was palpable.
I couldn't stand HDN and most of it had little to do with the football winning % it became personal. Had to work with him a bit. FWIW!

The last four or five years of Nutt's tenure was very polarizing to the fan base. People were so tired of his schitck and most fans were still remembering the old SWC days of averaging 10 wins per season. Most (including myself) thought we were still capable of that in the SEC.
I think now that most fans (maybe) now wouldn't be so hard on Nutt. I think if we could find a coach that would keep us winning 8 games a year, with the occasional 10 win season would have all of us pulling on our peckers with both hands.
I listened to the podcast. It was good. You can never doubt Nutt and his understanding of the fan base.

My main problem was how he turned on the charm around the big money folks, and turned off the kids, poorer fans during the FCA banquets, activities. He was such a douche.
I remember saying much the same to him in person one year in Little Rock and him giving a look and immediately going to another person and taking about me. That person, a former player at UfoA shared with me his thoughts. He was closer to my way of thinking than nuts.

well, golly... thanks I guess.
I just thought he was a two faced dude. But to be truthful, he was a better coach than we have thus far... fwiw

Off subject mostly, but I just saw highlights and even if my dislike has tamed some I still really super much enjoy seeing Gus lose and seeing his sad and cringing face.

I literally was just banned from that site for asking if Morris was back in town from being away from the team last weekend. Knowing that he travels away from the team every Thursday evening through Saturday morning, I don't know what's wrong with asking that.
I kid you not, I haven't received an explanation, but I think this is honestly why I was banned.
