Yeah you're right, that's only three people. The majority of posters here last week were ripping Chad a new one. We were all here, we all saw it.

I am still not convinced of Chad at this point. I gave him a pass last season. Then I lost faith after 1 1/2 games.

Us playing strong, especially on defense, in the 4th, and putting CO ST away gave me a glimmer of hope. If Chad is really ready for the big boys he will have to show me something this year. Beat Kentucky on the road, miss st, A&M, Mizzou. Someone. He has to beat someone, and do it in the 4th to make me feel like we have an actual coach.

I'm just not being as negative this week because starkel has breathed life into this team.

Nobody is. In fact, nobody in the SEC is "convinced" of their coaches except Bama and maybe UGA.

Most of us recognize that he needs time regardless. Last year was a wash, we have a new team this year in several ways; there's still a select few that would love to see him fired yesterday and would no doubt show up to brag about it.

Unless we then hired the guy that was at the top of THEIR list the process would then repeat itself ad-nauseum.

What I'm saying is that some people just love to bitch and be the contrarians. We have a handful amongst us.

Until their new QB started lighting up scoreboard the USC fans were ready to run Muschamp out of town. Auburn is undefeated and most folks think they will challenge for the West this year... but half their fans want Gus gone now and the other want him fired at the end of the season. Stoops brought Kentucky back from the dead in football but their fans were, rightly so, ripping him apart for going conservative in that loss to Florida.

We won't even get into Luke at Ole Miss.

As for Chad I would say that most of us here are not supremely impressed with his tenure thus far but we aren't expecting to reel off 10 straight wins and make the CFP. If the team shows improvement and sneaks in an SEC win a lot of the heat will go off him.

Barring a collapse of epic proportions and a team wide mutiny he'll get a third season. If he does well next year then he will probably be in good shape to watch his son finish his college career at Arkansas.

In terms of the talent deficit and player apathy this might be the biggest rebuild in Arkansas history and we've had some doozies. Morris may find that he is fated to be the second coming of Danny Ford, an underwhelming stay but at least he stockpiled talent for the next guy to use.
