Anger, pure anger haha

HY has said privately that he prefers no “retread” coaches. Sexton seems to prefer Kiffen or Drinkwitz goes to Arkansas, and Norvell waits until after the season to see his options. Of the two sources I have, both said Sexton reached out to the University regarding Kiffen and Drinkwitz. HY has “little to no interest on Leach.” Dont shoot the messenger, Leach fans. Kiffen does spark “some” interest, but my sources are still saying Norvell is the target. Drinkwitz is also a big target, but as of 12:30 today, his agent has not contacted the university. No word on Freeze or Bill Clark.

I meant to say Kiffen and Norvell, not Kiffen and Drinkwitz. Sexton has talked about Drinkwitz going, but nothing official as of 12:30. Sorry for misspoken sentence there.
This is what this guy has now updated with.
Trey buddy today said this

I'd still put this in the rumor mill category. When I say something is or isn't this or that period, then it mean I'm positive on it. This is just stuff I'm hearing, one is a good enough source that I haven't verified fully.
So I've heard from two people, including one who is pretty close to things down there, that Arkansas has reached out to Jimmy Sexton about Gus Malzahn and the Arkansas job. Things have changed a lot in the last two years since Malzahn turned Arkansas down previously. This doesn't mean anything other than there has probably been some type of conversation.
He'd have to pay 7 million to leave, which a school that hired him would normally pick up, but I'm told they'd probably let him walk away or maybe negotiate it way down, especially if they didn't have to pay him 27 million to force him out. I've heard the angle is that it would just be best for him and Auburn if everyone just moved on.
Auburn fired the new president they had who approved the contract for Malzahn after just two years, and a large part of that reasoning is the contract he was given in the first place. The interim president there now was there before they hired the new guy.
There's a lot of people in Auburn who want a change. Auburn went 10-4 in 2017 when we were talking about this last time, but he went 8-5 last year and is 7-2 with Georgia and Alabama still on the schedule, along with Samford. He has lost to LSU and Florida this season, which are both top-11 teams, and if he falls to UGA and Bama that would be four losses, though all to top 11 teams. If he beats UGA and Bama I don't see anything happening, and it may not happen anyway.
I have heard from another person also that I don't know as well that Arkansas has at least reached out to Sexton, about Malzahn and Arkansas. Obviously Sexton is also Chad Morris' agent.
Seems to be conflicting information there, and I put what biddy said I what he calls the rumor mill. No way we go after gus.

The timing make sense. Auburn has an overinflated ego about their program and Gus coming in to work with KJ is a thought HY likes. The timing is perfect for him to make the move. I'm not saying it's gonna happen obviously but it's definitely in the realm of possibility.

Someone tell me, is it possible that the bubble in NW Arkansas is strong enough for folks not to realize that hiring Gus would at best split the fan base? I can’t imagine this can possibly be happening.

Awww, but alas my friend...
We are Arkansad and it probably is...

I honestly feel it has to be that strong.
Our big money boosters clearly are out of touch with regular fans, and thus they have huge egos, and are short on football IQ. It just seems such an arkansas thing to do as to hire GUS for no fricking reason other than some church really wants their baw as the HC.

They may burn the program down, doing it. I would think someone would realize that we’ve lost enough fans in the last 8 years or so. Hell, I have family members who have dumped Arkansas for Auburn, and LSU in the last 8 years.

They weren't Arkansas fans in the first place then

Of course they were. They just got tired of being arse in football and basketball. It’s not easy being a Razorback fan. Much easier, and a lot more fun rooting for teams that play games that matter, and sometimes win.

Eh, the whole part of being a fan is understanding the lows so that you can enjoy the highs, even if they are extremely rare. Got to agree that someone who was an actually fan wouldn't flip to another school like that, especially in conference.
I know the type of people you are talking about and they likely will come right back if Arkansas shows any serious potential.

The names being floated around rumor mill are all names of individuals who contacted Arkansas (outside of 2).
The real question is who has HY contacted and no one knows for sure outside of him and Fagg, so the same names are going to be tossed around to drive viewers/listeners/readers or in other words most are half truths at best.

Biddy just sounds like to me he is trying to sell subs to all the Gussinites out there. Make some quick cash.
We need to leave Gus right where he's at.... with his dick stuck in Auburn's arse. Aubbies are desperate for someone to come pull it out for them, but it's best for us if he continues. If they do get rid of him, they will be too broke to pay the player payroll...

What a frickin dickhead post. Burt is a good dude and it's perfectly acceptable to say you hope someone gets a job because you like them and for no other reason. This is a goddamn message board. Our opinions don't matter for shite. Nobody here is actually responsible for hiring this new coach.

I'm actually Hunter Yurachek. Hold on, Gus is calling again, gonna ignore that one and send it to voicemail.
