I think Green is a little behind the rest in play execution. Johnson was patient today on several runs and is good in pass pro. Green has to learn the offense a little better but the speed is there. Backfield is stacked

It is refreshing to have the problem of too many good running backs.

I remember after the Texas game during Pittman's postgame press conference, the media was drooling over Rocket and AJ. Pittman himself brought up Johnson and said he really liked him and that we didn't need to sleep on him.

That caught my attention at the time and struck me as a subtle hint that while we had a logjam at tailback, he probably thought the most highly of DJ.

With Burks very likely gone after this year, put rocket at WR. He would be better at WR than at RB as he lacks the vision that Johnson has.

Johnson
Smith
Green

In that order.

Agreed. And I am sure that Pittman and Briles are thrilled to have the problem of too many good RBs. DJ ran the ball very well; showing excellent vision and physical skills.

Idk if rocket going to receiver full time would be best but I’d love to use him in the way we use burks this year. Slot motion receiver who can get involved in the running game as well

Wonder if we might try to put Sategna in that role

To me Rocket has the highest ceiling of all our RBs. But right now Johnson is better, and we need to get Rocket on the field in some way.

I think sategna is a little too light in the arse to use in burks role but you never know. My guess is they use sategna as a true deep threat out wide. He’s got really good speed and teams will have to respect that.

It will end up being Green and Johnson as the best backs. Rocket lacks the quickness that Green has and doesn't follow his blockers like Johnson. He is a north and south runner that has zero wiggle to his running style. He would be better suited at WR as Arkansas won't have anyone next year at that position. You have to keep these players happy and the staff will have to start moving these players around to fix critical needs.

Knox needs to play TE next year as Hudson is becoming a bust.

Rocket could be another Burks. We need fast and physical WRs that can catch. Arkansas doesn't have one besides Burks. He will be a huge loss next year if the staff can't fill those shoes.

It can still work if he has enough speed to get the edge consistently

Problem here is that if I remember correctly a big reason we landed him was because he wanted to play RB and other teams wanted him a WR

They all get told the same but some players aren't as good at some positions as others. It is why someone like Knox needs to gain more weight and play TE. It is too crowded at RB and rocket isn't going to get very many touches. He probably be stuck behind Johnson, Smith or even Green next year. So either he will transfer or be moved somewhere else.
