In my league it was a tall redheaded dork with glasses on the A's. frick that guy. I'll never forget him.

Nice win tonight. Good way to wash the MSU stink off.

Tech getting a chewing still in the dugout after Loseke made his radio appearance for player of game.

DVH mentioned Bolden and even Murphy as possible starters tomorrow.

Should see Bonnin on the mound soon again after getting shut down similar to what Rutledge went through earlier in season.

Martin could’ve played and may tomorrow.

Shaddy out until at least Bama weekend if not next weekend.

Great win. Crowd was actually great tonight. Not a ton of people but everyone was paying attention to the game and it looked like the hog pen stayed pretty full till the end.

Amazing job by Loseke.

Yes, a midweek game. Mercer had a reliever strike out 12 batters.

Florida has 34 wins, 14 in conference and 4 game lead on everyone.

They also didn’t start their normal midweek guy because he’s going to pitch on the weekend (Saturday).

Maybe they were looking ahead to the Auburn series starting Thursday?

"why youz supportn medicorityy? only loosers make excuses."

Is that how the fairweathers do it?

Yes it's a tough midweek game..... and it's baseball.

We've played tough midweek games.

Swept the whorns - who are now ranked in the top 25.

I'm glad we at least secured the split with a damn good Tech team.

Not sure why you’re coming at me sideways.

Fair-weather what?

When have I said anything about our midweek schedule? Sure they aren’t as important as conference but you don’t want to be losing to 200+ RPI teams at any point if looking to host in the new 1-16 seeding format. Two weeks, three weeks and a month a go we pulled a couple of those out - Memphis, ULM and Grambling. LINK

We are a totally different team (4-9) on the road and can’t handle the pressure of RISP situations by expanding the zone and pressing. I’ve mentioned those points about this team and if they don’t correct them they will cost them but most fans can see that.

Tech thread
Melt central.

quote:

We are getting absolutely smoaked. Can we at least pretend we are the #4 team in the country. We look like we dont even belong. Someone on this team needs to send a message because we have been sleep walking since OU.

quote:

Tell me again why we made this dumb arse trip.

quote:

We are already #3 RPI. And Arkansas is not returning to Lubbock. We dont need this game and the scheduling makes zero sense.

quote:

Hopefully the rain shows up tomorrow and we get our team back in Lubbock from a trip that never should have been scheduled

quote:

After watching this you do have to wonder how Tech could be ranked 4th in the nation in any baseball poll.

quote:

Not sure we should be ranked in the top 25 to be honest.

I wasn't necessarily coming at you but the idea that top programs (Florida) doesn't struggle with lesser opponents. I've seen/heard people use them as the bench mark for NEVER EVER playing down to inferior teams.

McFarland was particularly bad about that tonight. He was lunging 4 feet in front of the plate to swing at off-speed garbage.

We might need to sit him tomorrow and work Gates at 1B if Martin can come back.

Gates didn't actually light it up at the plate tonight. Probably why DVH brought in Kenley to swing at 2 horrible pitches.

Yeah I'd rather Lee get a start at 1B, even though he's not as good defensively

For me, kid was an outcast from our league, was a teammate of mine on the non coaches son "B" all star team that absolutely drubbed the "A" team and won state when we were 13.

Kid was an absolute beast behind the plate too. Shame he passed away, dude had D1 bat seed and could switch hit.

Glory days I know but relateable to anyone who played.
