I have mixed feelings about it. It was one of the first places I ever went to on Dickson (actually, their outside bar is where I ordered my very first legal beer when I was 21), and I enjoyed the food. The coffee was actually the weakest part of their menu somehow.

All that said, I know they treated their employees like absolute shite and I've heard nothing but increasingly bad stories about the service. I haven't went there in probably over a year.

Never liked the place. If they were smart they would have kept the building though and just leased it out to a new bar. That's some prime dickson patio real estate to get rid of.

One of the best patios on Dickson for years. I did a lot of underage drinking there in the 90s. It's all nostalgia, now. I can't remember the last time I spent a dollar there.

I only went there the morning of football games once or twice a year but my family was impressed enough to make it part of our game day routine so I was a little surprised.

Good breakfast and coffee. I guess they made extra effort on game days.

I remember when it first opened, but like others have said the service and quality have been pretty lousy of late. Someone is going to get a fairly nice location for their new business.

So Jose's and Common Ground closed? I haven't been over near Dickson in a few months.

I think guard is changing from when Dickson first gentrified back in the day to the next generation of bars and restaurants.

It's all in the name and they have to keep up with the times.

It should have been called Uncommon Grounds.

Yeah, property values are too high for some of those old owners to resist. And rents are too high for some mediocre places to stay around as long as they used to.

Is Lioneld behind this in anyway? I'm not sure what to think, as he wants to increase revenues and push some strange ways to do it for this area.

Common Grounds was terrible. Let's just hope we get a real Mexican Restaurant on Dickson. Chipotle and Qdoba don't even cut it for a second.

Yeah, do we really need three Subway-style burrito joints on Dickson?

isn't flying burrito still down there as well. I think we already had three. They all three suck but that's beside the point.

Do they still do Party on the Patio? That was rad. Everything else about that place sucks, though.

Yeah, Flying Burrito is the third one, but he didn't reference it with Qdoba or Chipotle. I've actually never had Chipotle, but I don't mind the other two.
