I’m sure a guy with no SEC history or connections, with a slightly above average resume, is going to be incredible here

I don’t really trust Danny too much these days. He just kinda gets a paycheck to do nothing.

I think it’s more he shut down what you want. If he said Campbell had already signed and will be on the first flight out of Ames, you’d say man this Danny sure knows what he is talking about.

I don’t know man, I heard every team wants him but can’t pry him out of Ames. That’s really LSU’s first pick but they don’t want to get shut down.

As a guy with no connections to either program, not sure why he’d choose to come here over LSU. Unless he’s not too smart or doesn’t want the pressure, which is usually not a trait of a high level coach

Oh you were kidding

I doubt a part time recruiting guy that doesn’t even live near the program will know who we’re hiring.

I’m quite the opposite of melting. Pretty much frozen. I know Campbell will be unsuccessful here though.

I doubt anyone who says they have a source that isn’t Hunter.

Everyone with a source has said Hunter was fired. Lashlee was signed. Gus was a done deal. The only thing I believe that everyone with a source has said is: Bobby is hated by every Booster and will never be signed here because the money people hate him.

LSU hired someone who was 43-26 from the Big 10. Born in West Virginia and played in the north

I'm convinced we would never hire someone with this resume because of a lack of Arkansas and SEC ties

Yeah if you hire a guy with that resume, it better be Saban...

Saban had been a HC for 6 seasons. Campbell has had 15. If he was Saban in hiding he would've shown it by now

That guy had also designed all the defenses that LT used at the Giants.

That would be the idea, yes

What would Nick Saban achieve at Iowa State?

What would a half Nick Saban achieve at Iowa State

Would we be happy with hiring such a coach?

Unfortunately we are currently a much harder place to win that Iowa State. I doubt he can replicate the ~7 wins per season he's had there so far. And I would be absolutely floored if he could improve on that here at Arkansas.

He's not going to be an absolute bust like Golesh/Morris/Silverfield probably would. But his ceiling is lower than theirs, maybe lower than any of the names we've heard.

that’s not true and will never be. Especially in today’s game. We’re over here a good coaching staff away from being a playoff team with this roster.

And a whole defense. Mostly secondary, but line isn’t getting much pressure either.

I think a good defensive staff would have them in position to let the offense win them some games. Definitely more than 2

What sucks is every team we play, the announcers say, this guy used to be on Arkansas last year, watch him run for 100+ or have 37 tackles.
