Shouldn't you want the HC of your team who is recruiting 18 year old kids to be an attention whore? Wouldn't be that fun to play for if he was boring.

He isn't inventing new catchphrases: Uncommonly Bad, Raise The Bar (tab), Fult Tilt Booger, Hammereddown yada yada
No need for reality shows to see what he is cooking. No need for him to drop down from the rafters for a barely top 50 recruiting class (2018 class). None of that needed.
DVH doesn't go out of his way to draw attention. He just wins and recruits based off of those wins. Simple. Win and the rest will follow.

We have top 5 facilities and fan support in baseball. We don't in football.
Alabama football doesn't need to do that either. We do have catchphrases posted in the dugout but they aren't in our branding like the football ones or "Fastest 40" are.

Fan support is also there when you win.
I remember the days when they would give away tickets to George Cole Field. I also remember them creating special packages and giveaways to get fans into Baum. They just did away with the family discount and senior citizen discount for baseball this season.
The fans came because of two badass coaches (Norm DeBriyn and Dave Van Horn) built the program from scratch.
We went from playing at the fairgrounds to playing in the greatest college baseball stadium in America because we won. We have our traditions and the team probably has a yearly slogan but the baseball coaches don't rely on dumbass catchphrase or hashtags to get recruits or fans to buy in.

Morris' 2nd recruiting class is great. I hope he holds on to Spivey b/c we need another RB - but overall he has done a great job with his 2nd class.
If this is what he feels is needed to get the team motivated then go for it. He will ultimately be judged by his win-loss not his gimmicks.

You're comparing baseball recruits from a coach who was here 50 years ago when social media didn't exist, to football recruits in 2019. Nearly everything Morris says he took word-for-word from Dabo.

2-10 is going to warrant a ton of complaints. Whether it be where he is from or his hashtags... people are going to bitch until he wins.
Just like people bitching about Bielema's weight. I'm sure there are people who hate fat people but all that would have faded away if he won here. It sucks but it's true. People look for the low hanging fruit to complain about when they aren't happy.
2-10 is enough for me to complain. But he can and will change attitudes when the number on the left is bigger than the number on the right.

Folks, use some common sense please. Yes, we need things to bring attention to a program on the rebuild. Recruiting is the lifeblood of this football program and Chad has done better than anyone in a long, long, long damn time. I don't care if he uses catch phrases, relies on his time at Clemson and say's "Look what we laid the foundation for" or that he takes away the better facilities, clothing to make an impression on the kids. What I read and see from the recruits is this.. "They are real cool, fun to be around, like a family but have a plan" Sounds good to me. Lets give the time to the plan. We did with CBP, CBB, and CHN, why not Chad?

Maybe I'm setting the bar too high for Morris by wanting him to be more like DVH but it's tough to see football flounder when they have much more financial support than baseball.
It's awesome having a coach who is a Razorback. A coach who loves The University of Arkansas and who wanted to be a Razorback - despite living in Missouri - since he was a kid. A coach whose family moved with him every step of the way and who helped him pursue his dream of being the Razorback head coach.
Wish we had a version of DVH for football.
