Can we do a realistic list of potential coaches now?

I think this Morris debacle probably ensures Norvell never gets a look, so who do we get? Briles? Leach? Any other coaches come to mind?

You’re assuming any of those coaches would even want to come here. This isn’t an attractive job, by any measure, at this point in time.

Butch Davis.
He has proven time and time again he can come in and make a decent program out of a shite program.
He isn't a long term solution, but we don't need a long term solution, that has failed 2 times in a row.
Les Miles could be added to this list.
frick the up and comer. frick the offensive guru. Hire the proven program builder, because at this point they will have a blank slate to start with.

It really can't get much worse. 2–10. Losing those last two games can hurt no further. It's like keeping your hand on the stove after it's already been burned to third degree. Sure, you know it's getting worse, but it doesn't really feel like it.

Why would we not look at norvell? He is winning big at memphis. Something Morris didn't do at smu?

He quite a few games the past two years at Wazzu. He was due for a downer. Thing with Leach is he generally takes awhile to get things rolling his way at a program.
