I've met them I know who is over there. You want to be mad about it be mad at the University and HY. His unwillingness to embrace it and waiting so long to get things going is the problem.

As far as the portal is concerned we've lost 31 starters/ heavy rotation players since the end of the 21' season that's not happening anywhere else other teams lose some guys that don't see the field much if at all. There are a few exceptions but not many.

Bottom line on what we are getting from the portal is this. Not many want to play for a team that's not winning doesn't matter what we are paying. They also won't come to a team with a coach and staff on the hot seat.

Surely you're not this obtuse.

Players don't give a crap about how much you've won these days. They care about how much your paying them. If you have money anybody will come. We have no money so players bail from our program.

The Edge has to be fixed or none of it really matters as players will continue going to the highest bidder. Why do you think Matt Sulka walked away from an undefeated team. It's all about the money.

Anyone leaving the NFL willingly right now to go CFB would be an idiot.

Arkansas even if they tried the hardest that they could with NIL, it will not be able to compete with the big boys. NIL just created a bigger gap between schools like Arkansas and Alabama.

Ole Miss is an outlier right now but that won't last long term.

Sure he a good recruiter but no what has happened to Arkansas hasn't happened at another program in the country without a coaching change.

There were more than a few of the 34 that left that didn't have the kindest of words about the Arkansas coaching staff.

Discipline your child, I’m sure they will have good things to say about you immediately after. But when they haven’t dyed their hair blue and chopped their sex organs off at 30 they will thank you.

Half the people leaving is for money, just like when Judkins wanted more money to play in the NY6 bowl. Then came to Kiffin that he wanted $3m+ to stay at Ole Miss and Kiffin said you should check the market. Ole Miss hasn’t missed a beat it seems.

These 31 players…remind me again how great these players were. Brooks and Foucha were decent and ultimately wanted to play in their home state. We lost our 2 top LB’s last year but I do not see any drop-off in their replacements.

No need to mention KJ

We lost some high school reaches to lower tier schools.

On the flip side, we’ve had some quality additions in the portal and looking at this year it seems we’ve upgraded our roster both in starting 22 and depth.

A team like Arkansas needs to build a solid culture and have a good mix of quality HS players and portal guys. I think it’s an opportunity to get some better high school guys than we’ve had in the past due to Portal being the primary stop-gap from year to year across the board.

We have a unique defensive staff. They deploy the style of D that a team like Hogs need to run. We have an OC that still has several years in him and one of the top guys in this area.

It’s been said Bobby can't be hired back. Fine, let him call plays and coach QBs like wants to do. You can also let him mentor TWill on the job and retain the defensive staff and add an additional recruiter.

This looks better to me for next 5 years than starting fresh, having down or mediocre seasons before we see if it will continue as a bad hire or if have the right guy.

Yep. Pittman's no frontrunner for coach of the year, but Hunter is an anchor on his ankle. You watch him address people and it's instantly apparent why we don't have money. Dude has negative charisma and even worse ideas.

Lmao wow is all I can say!

Winning matters above everything else. Then comes relationships and getting to the league. Finally there's the money and that's true for 98% of all college football players.

How great are they?

Well in 21 we won 9 games and 18 left the team, then we won 7 games in 22' then 26 left the team and we won 4 games in 23'. This off-season 34 left so far we are 3-1 and have only played 1 team of note.

So you tell me how much these guys meant to the success of the team.

Yes there are isolated situations with very few players where it is the money. Look around the country and at other teams. If it were all about the money A&M, Texas, Ohio State ect would have a NC by now but they don't. Tulane, Liberty, UNLV, wouldn't be having the seasons they've had if that were remotely true.

It's only about money to a percentage of a percent of players.

The 21 and 22 season had nothing to do with losing quality players to the portal. The talent we lost graduated or was drafted. Maybe count Slusher and you can’t count Catalon. We had zero skill players except a once in a generation type of athlete.

The talent has been building back up at all levels bro

Those seasons 1000000000% with losing quality players. You seem to forget how existing players were treated compared to transfers. You seem to forget the staff losing the team in 22.

In 21 we lost:
Greg Brooks Jr.
Joe Foucha
Devin Bush
Trelon Smith

22'
Jalen Catalon
Myles Slusher
Jaquayln Crawford
Warren Thompson
Trey Knox
Ketron Jackson
Khari Johnson

23'
Dominique Johnson
Isaiah Augustave
Andrew Chamblee
Jacolby Criswell
Snaxx Johnson
Tank Booker
Taurean Carter
AJ Green
Devon Manuel
Jaheim Thomas
KJ Jefferson
Jordan Crook
Rocket Sanders
Chris Paul Jr.

All would have been nice to have especially this season as thin as we are all over the field.
