I feel like Cuckachek is the dark rain cloud that’s really holding everyone but men’s track back. We have the infrastructure and good coaches overall. Not saying championship caliber. But it certainly doesn’t help working conditions to have the top dog constantly whining about “problems” that he’s responsible for fixing that are truly fixable here. There is fan loyalty and support in spades, maybe we don’t have the best facilities but we’re close if we don’t, the money IS there - he just doesn’t know how to get it the right way or get people to open wallets and donate. Instead, he’s convinced that jacking ticket prices and pissing off all of those donors who annually donate in the tens of thousands or more is a good idea. Just my added .02 to go with ARHog.

I feel like our last two ADs have done the poor Arkansas with their overall pockets pulled out, and that is what is holding us back. Both have tried penny pinching the entire time. Hunter has pretended NIL didn’t happen, and if we did it, the university would collapse.
We need to get an AD that has accepted within 20 years our area will be as big as Austin was before this Covid tech boom.

Did you miss the North EZ project that wasn't needed

OU is 3 wins from winning a title to add even more salt to our wounds. The 11th place SEC team that lost their final 4 series to end the regular season and 1 and done SECT to LSU.
Just goes to show how meaningless the reg season really is and the narratives around it are for nothing but talking points but don't actually carry any weight.

All tournament based sports are just about being hot at the right time aren’t they? That was the whole argument against the CFP wasn’t it?

Yes, but typically hot at the right time means finishing strong too before postseason play. Hot entering the postseason, oh that's a dangerous team put it all together late etc. OU was the exact opposite, couldn't have finished the reg season worse.

Didn’t Ole Miss or someone have a 50/50 year with Marshall Henderson, then go on a run? And Georgia the time the tornado delayed our game? I think it’s all about just getting it right when it matters, and hoping you don’t have a momentum killing delay between.

The 2022 Ole Miss team that won it all was 14-16 in the SEC and also a regional 3 seed. They did win 2 of their last 3 series though including sweeping at top 10 LSU so did show some signs of life before the postseason unlike this OU squad.
If OU does end up winning it all, it's a run on a whole different level with just how bad they were the last month of the season losing their final 4 series plus 1 and done SECT.

Liking the bats so far in this portal haul.
We still need a starting catcher and an ace though. Unless Rutenbar is going to catch but given that he didn't even back up this year at all that doesn't seem likely. I forgot he was a high end catcher as a recruit so maybe they'll still try him there?
Pitching haul seems weak again so far. Two JUCO guys that can compete for #3 starter and the loser midweek. No ace or even #2 so far in the portal and if we strike out again there it's doomed and idk what Hobbs is doing.

Our last 2 portal pitchers have had a 9 and 6 ERA. I don't even know anymore.

I wish I could. There are some small rumblings about Wiggins returning as he's slipped to late 3rd-4th rd projections. Not sure he'd be some 100% lock down ace either though after TJ. No one's seen him throw since but he's throwing at the combine next week for the first time.

Looking forward to losing 26-14 again.
Right now Cole Gibler is our ace and Colin Fisher our #2. Who's hyped?!

Maybe we'll luck up and he'll be one of those guys that turns absolute freak after TJ. That kind of luck happens with our sports programs, right?
