Defenses in college football has suffered for years and no wants to play defense anymore. The rules in place favor the offenses and it punishes the defenses.

That’s a fact. In the age of “targeting” I’ve often wondered exactly how long we expect a defensive guy to last, when he is expected to meet the lowered head, crown of the helmet surge from an offensive guy with his shoulder, or chest. It’s not always the case, but often is. Now this year I learn you can’t cut a pulling guard, so here you are a 185 pound corner, and your only option to maintain position is to take on a 325 pounder with a head of steam coming at you like a locomotive.
