Did anyone know that our favorite OC Jim Cheney is now at Tennessee???
I guess he got "made to find another job" once again.
Smart used tbe exact same tactic Bert did to get his hands on Pittman as well.
Hire them both, then, Cheney gets fired after year 2...and voila, you still have the best Oline recruiter/coach in the country on staff.
I just wonder when Pittman will leave in the middle of the night again from Georgia. .... Wait, I have a feeling that won't happen this time.

OM got beaten on the road by a good Memphis team with a good coach. I know the transitive property doesn't apply to college football, but Memphis would destroy Portland State, and probably us as well.

I really don't understand people saying Ole Miss looked worse than us. Like you said, they lost to a respectable G5 program with a decent coach. Our defense will keep us in the game but Ole Miss's defense actually looked pretty good - there's no way we're putting up many points against them. We'll probably have a few turnovers that will break the defense's back.

Yep. People don't want to admit it but Ole Miss's defense actually looked fairly decent, and I think their offense looked inept because Memphis actually looked really good on defense.
Memphis's defense was flying around the ball and making a ton of plays, which people are taking to mean OM's offense is atrocious. They may be, but I still think Rich Rod turns it around and has them fielding a decent offense by season's end.
