Have any of you bums go to Arkansas Tech? My son just finalized his housing and food meal. What should he expect. Any good campus activities. He ended up a Jones Hall. They did announce they will have on campus classes this fall. And yes, this is also a subtle brag post as well. Peace out Hoggers.

All I know is, back in the old GSC days, there were some incredible rivalries between all the D2 Arkansas universities in both football and baseball.

They're all still in the same conference and from what I understand have some pretty decent rivalries. Harding, Henerson, and Ouachita are all really good at football at the moment and there have always been some decent rivalries in basketball.

Thank you, I read where ATU was on the low side of the party spectrum. He's not big on partying, yet. Not sure Computer Science is the IT crowd.....

Tech is a good school and Russellville is a nice town to live in. I visited colleges last year with my kid and I was impressed with ATU. It isn't a small school by Arkansas standards but the professors seemed more engaged and approachable than most other colleges.

The Organic Chemistry Prof is a Prick, but the total Science faculty is alright. The campus itself has no frats or sorority houses nearby, and the the best thing to do is to make sure you have your courses close together, because going from McEver to building near Baswell over back to the History building is a pain.

Yea, he's got a couple day that has 15 for him to get from next to the library to the math building. Hs said he got it. Luckily it's only 2 days. This could change bit after we get his AP Cal test back to see if he scored high enough to not have to take Cal AB. He's already has AP Bio in the bag.

Ross Lib is very close to the math building, no worries on that 15 minutes

That said, tell him that good grades give him a better chance to pick his housing. Nutt Hall may no longer be the king of dorms, but its a sight better than being stuck at Massey or Brown.

He ended up at Jones Hall. Its supposed to be just for upperclassmen but they want to only have single or double occupancy. He shares toilet and shower with room nextdoor only. He's pretty happy about it.

He’s gonna like it there. I’ve always liked Russellville, CJs is one of my favorite burgers in the state.

Absolutely, CJs is already on the menu when we drop him off. There is also one in Fayetteville now.

OH! I just checked the faculty list. If your boy needs world history, I highly recommend Dr. Dykema.

He doesn't have it this year but will. He didn't score high enough on his AP history test last year to skip it.
